The clerk that checked me in was amazing. Explained everything about the property. I thought I was in a 5 star hotel.

Misleading Pictures and Dirty Hotel
The pictures are totally misleading. This hotel does not look like the pictures. The place is run down, dirty and with worse attitude managers. There is absolutely nothing around except a sketchy neighborhood

The photographs of our hotel were taken by a professional photographer. They are an extremely accurate representation of the hotel.
The hotel is the second newest hotel in Boulder, and it is not run down in the least.
The houses in the neighborhood that the hotel sits in sell for 1 million dollars and up. I understand how the anonymity of the internet emboldens people to say things they wouldn't normally say to someone's face. It is an insult to the people in the neighborhood to say terrible things about their homes. My guess is that it would hurt your feelings if someone insulted where you live. In the future I ask you to think how your actions may affect the feelings of others.

About 10 min from cu boulder and convenient to a park and ride. Room was as expected, comfortable with good linens. Solid breakfast.

YMMV: Highly recommend w/ a big caveat (ie, lots to like about this hotel, but I slept poorly due to mattress & bedding)
There is a lot to like about this Fairfield Inn in Boulder, and if my reasons for dropping a star don't matter to you, then I highly recommend this hotel.
First: some of the highlights -
- Good location: it's very near the Park & Ride, so if you take the express RTD bus from the Denver airport you can get off at the Table Mesa Park & Ride and it's an 8 minute walk (0.4 miles; you will have to cross a busy street but there's a cross walk and sidewalks). Can't say how easy it is to continue to use public transportation around Boulder from here, but an Uber from this location to CU is fairly cheap.
- Mountain View rooms have a great view of the Flatirons. Sooooo pretty!!
- Lots of accessible rooms if you need that. The wheelchair accessible rooms are RIGHT next to the elevator which makes them super convenient (albeit it's possible they may be likely noisy).
- New & lovely finishes throughout. Not sure of the age of the hotel, but it's quite pretty inside.
- Breakfast: Coffee was really good! Nice and strong, which is always a welcome surprise when a hotel offers good coffee with breakfast. The rest of the breakfast was to be expected for a hotel in this price range, but there were plant-based sausages, and nice toppings for oatmeal.
Quiet location, nice staff, easy parking if you have a car.
All in all, a good value and a good stay.
But the reason I dropped the star:
My favorite #1 reason to stay at a Fairfield Inn when I travel is they usually have super comfy mattresses.
But these mattresses did NOT measure up. They were very hard, and despite the hotel looking overall very new, the mattresses were already sagging on the sides near the nightstand.
Also, the bedding ran HOT. I cranked the AC down to 60 degrees (which it did very admirably - another positive) and slept with only a sheet, but I was still hot. I think the sheets have a very high percentage of polyester, which doesn't breathe well and traps heat.
If the bedding / mattress had been up to typical Fairfield Inn standards, I would make this my absolute #1 place to stay when visiting Boulder for business.
If you're the type of person who likes a hard mattress (the sagging isn't very noticeable if you sleep on the side not the middle, but I like the indulgence of a big bed all to myself and covet the middle), and if you like very warm bedding, then you can consider this a five star review.
But for me, the poor sleep I had both nights of my stay gives me pause.

I loved everything , the staff was super nice in every way! The room was clean and modern and the breakfast was outstanding! Thank you to the entire staff for a wonderful stay!! 💜💜
