A wonderful base to fully enjoy the surroundings

Friendly multilingual service.
Great breakfast in spacious breakfast room. Fine dining at a culinary high level with beautifully laid out plates.
Bedroom is fine with separate shower and sink.
Lovely beds.
Got a lot of good information about the area.
For hiking, cycling and trail running it is a paradise here.
After a trail run or hiking tour a wonderful experience in the sauna and swimming pool.

Great hotel, ideal for short vacations

Tastefully modern hotel with a rich breakfast buffet and fantastic dinner with menu options. TOP!! And our golden retriever Ronja was also allowed to be here for a fee. :-) The clean wellness area was very pleasant as well.

A wonderful stay that we will repeat very soon!

We had already stayed at this beautiful little hotel in 2018, and it is with the greatest pleasure that we returned. As soon as the doors close, you are in another world, a zen cocoon where the noise of the street has no place (there was construction around the hotel, but we heard absolutely nothing from the inside). The staff is very warm, attentive to everyone's needs, and multilingual (French, Dutch, German, English, and Luxembourgish at a minimum). The rooms are very pleasant, whether it is the classic one we took the first time or the junior suite this time. The space between two rooms is such that you hear absolutely nothing from what is happening next door (deaf people can turn the TV up loud without disturbing the neighbors' sleep). The beds are very comfortable, the rooms warm, and the dressing area is a dream for any normally constituted woman. The whirlpool bathtub, let's not even talk about it: once inside, you don't want to get out. Tea and electric kettle available. The wellness area is simple but sufficient: a heated pool where you can always stand, secure surroundings to prevent slipping, a nice hot shower, and the sauna and steam room are small but more than adequate to feel good.
And let's save the best for last (or for hunger): the cuisine! La Table de Clervaux, their restaurant, is closed on Wednesdays. This does not prevent them from offering two three-course menus (starter, main course, dessert) to enjoy in the lounge. The plates are very generous, and what they contain is of the highest quality.
In my opinion, this is not a hotel designed for families with young children (when we were there, at the age of 48, we were among the youngest), as Clervaux is not a destination for fun. On the other hand, for those who love calm, the silence of nature, and hiking, it is the ideal place. We will return soon, and it deserves far more than three stars.

Hotel close to Clervaux castle

Well located hotel, just across the chateau de Clervaux. Room #350 for 3 people had two separate rooms and a joint bathroom reached through a common area with automatic light sensor. The small room for one person was large and well designed. Quiet area. Heated towel rack. Friendly staff. Private parking on site at a cost. Very clean rooms with kettle. Free pool and sauna.
The larger room is not so well designed for our needs. The bed is set tight between two wardrobes / cupboards with no night table. Hard to find space for luggage. Few useful plugs. Automatic light sensor turns on bright lights; which is not so great during the night when going to the bathroom.

Charming staff but aging hotel

To be greeted with a smile and humor is priceless.
However, the room is small and poorly soundproofed.
Do not expect a bottle of water or coffee in your room...
