Break from travelling

I stayed here for four days to have a break from travelling. The ocean view room was clean and very comfortable. Had all amenities a self contained unit needs. Ocean out the front pool out back laundry.
A daily view of emus walking past as you sit out the front.
Room had double and single bed
I found the owner to be very polite and helpful in extending my stay

Could do much better

Uncomfortable bed, dreadful pillows, both kitchen taps give warm water, shower either freezing or boiling . Floor gritty on arrival, some cutlery in the drawer not clean. No hair dryer. No lid for the bin.
Excellent location, it’s pretty quiet.

Great value for money accommodation

Stayed in the three bedroom poolside apartment with family. Apartment was everything we needed... beds were comfortable, fully self contained kitchen was spotlessly clean with brand new appliances. Aircon kept unit at a great temp when it was 40° outside. Best location and apartment complex had wonderful outdoor areas including BBQ spaces and a communal pizza oven. Owners were great to deal with and very accommodating. Awesome value for money. Will definitely be back.

Stay away from Bay Lodge Denham!

Stay away from Bay Lodge Denham!
I booked accommodation through Booking.com, and they charged my card 30 days in advance as per their terms(well in advance compared to other places). Unfortunately, I had to cancel the booking due to a medical emergency. I contacted the hotel via Booking.com and by phone, and the staff assured me that if the rooms were rebooked for my dates, I would receive a refund.
The rooms were indeed rebooked, but when I followed up for the refund, the hotel refused and has since stopped responding to my messages. This is unacceptable behavior—they’ve effectively double-dipped by taking payments from both me and the new guests for the same rooms and dates.
Their practices are dishonest, and their lack of accountability is incredibly frustrating. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel to save yourself the stress and financial loss.

DONT WALK, RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND ITS MANAGER

Worse stay ever-DO NOT RISK IT. The manager is extremely rude- we did not read the reviews on booking ahead of our stay, PLEASE do that and you will see there is a long list of complaints about the way they treat customers. The place is overpriced and not well maintained, not very clean, no fly screens, aircon is faulty and the way the manager called my husband names for no reason (we asked about the internet which was not working) and tried to escalate the situation meant we had to make the choice to leave after a long drive and fork the money to pay for another place. No refund received. I could go on and on about the way they have signs in the room threatening to charge more from you if you leave after 9?! or don't put dishes away, with no please or thank you. Very unprofessional, I never seen such behaviour from someone in hospitality in Australia before.
