Friendly stuff, great food

We stayed here for 1 night in December off season for skiing. Warm and friendly welcome from Hungarian owners and stuff.
Lots of parking places next to the hotel, just by the Alpenstrasse.
They have clean and spacious rooms, but do not expect anything special. WiFi is available for free, works well.
Slopes and lifts are 10 min drive but you can take free bus ride every 30 min, leaves from in front of the hotel.
Best thing is the foooood here, way above expectations in quality and value. 15€ worth the 3 course dinner really. Creative, tasty !
Breakfast is continental, all is fresh and they make warm stuff by order. Coffee is also good, not american light one I hate.
Really recommended, wort the price.

Ski and relax

We spent a week here skiing sightseeing and eating great food. Kitchen is great and good wine selection. The staff are very friendly and always helpful! There is a playroom and a sauna for those who have energy after skiing or exploring the area. Big clean rooms with balcony and a wonderful view. Ski bus very conveniently stops front of the hotel. We had a great time!

Great little find

We spent a week here over the New Year Holidays, easy access to skiing and hiking , short walk into town. Great food, very friendly staff, super nice bar, clean rooms and great price/value relationship. The owner/GM is around all the time and went out of her to be exceptionally helpful

small hotel so close to the alpenstrasse, friendly stuff, good kichen, good price, the wifi is fast, the rooms are clean and big, they have a small sauna, what can be usefull after snowboarding, recommended

SO schafft man sich Stammkundschaft...

Wir (ein deutsch-österreichisches Paar im besten Alter) sind vorgestern für einen Kurzurlaub hier eingetrudelt - wurden herzlichst von der quirligen und überaus kompetenten Managerin Emöke empfangen, die ein grosses Zimmer mit Terrasse mit grandiosem Ausblick auf dem Grimming für uns vorbereitet hatte (gleich am ersten Abend wunderschönes Alpenglühen - fast zu kitschig..). Das Hotel besitzt wie die Besitzerin grossen Charme und wir haben uns von der ersten Minute hier wohlgefühlt - nicht zuletzt durch die langen, interessanten Gespräche beim Frühstück - das Hotel war offiziell noch gesperrt, somit waren wir die einzigen Gäste und haben das sehr genossen. Detail am Rande: wir waren mit Gutschein gekommen - was sehr vielen Vermietern ein Dorn im Auge ist und sie aus Ignoranz und Dummheit dies des öfteren dem Gast zu verstehen geben, dass es eine Zweiklassengesellschaft gibt, sich nicht der Tatsache bewusst seiend, was für ein Potential sie da leichtsinnig verspielen. Nämlich die Aussicht auf nicht unbedingt finanzschwache Stammkundschaft...Wir werden auf jeden Fall bald wiederkommen, um die schöne Umgebung zu erkunden, viele Wanderungen zu unternehmen, Langlaufen zu gehen und entspannte Stunden im schönen, gemütlichen Saunaabschnitt der Grimming-Therme zu verbringen.
