Exeptional luxury at Villa Amanosato!

Beautiful minamilistic property at the base of Koya-san ideal for either a complete retreat or visit to Koya-san or combination. Service is excellent and food is creatively presented. There are three separate onsens to experience and, since we were there with only one other couple, easy to book. From the property, we took a short walk to the Niutsuhime-jinja shrine with its Rinkyo Bridge which only deities are allowed to cross. Although the property is in the countryside, the hotel made arriving/departing easy as they picked us up from the train station in Kaseda and kindly drove us to Koya-san the next day.

The room was immaculate. The service was also excellent. All the staff were very warm, friendly and helpful. The surprising element was the breakfast and dinner service. The food preparation was meticulous and worthy of a Michelin Star.

Amazing to point of disbelief . Beyond any expectation . New category of luxury and service.

Best hospitality ever experienced. Better than Aman or Four Seasons. The property is lovely. The rooms are awesome. Somewhat Nordic. If 3 star Michelin food is a 10/10- this is an 8 food and 10/10 for display and creativity. The staff and the service cannot be described in words. They are maniacal about providing service beyond expectation. The hotel has 8 rooms. It’s 25 minutes from Koya San which is a truly unreal place. They will drive you back and forth and cater to your every need. Truly memorable stay. Bravo.

Great hospitality by the country side

A great place for a relaxing stay set by the countryside. 3 private onsen to choose from after a day wandering around. The hotel could do with some upgrade on some parts but the quality of the french/japanese meals as well as the kindness of the whole staff make it an enjoyable stay to remember.

This traditional Japanese Inn is thoroughly modern with excellent facilities, rooms, Michelin quality food, and helpful staff. We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value.
