Casabierta: what a place!

Casabierta is a mix of a small boutique hotel and a house for rent. It has four bedrooms, three of them suites and one additional independent bathroom, plus a very nice living room, an equipped kitchen and a large terrace. It has free wifi and flat screen tvs in all rooms. There is also a huge jacuzzi tub in one of the bedrooms. It has a spectacular location in the heart of Palermo Soho. The highlight is the hospitality of Augusto and Carina, he sommelier and she chef. You can fix meals with them and surely you will not regret it. The quality of the meal is equivalent to the best restaurants in town. For a small group, it is the ideal place for a few days in the spectacular city of Buenos Aires.

A great place to stay for a small group

There were 5 of us staying there for 12 days. I'll begin by saying Augusto is great to deal with. He answers all questions promptly and has plenty of information about the general area. This is an older house that has been updated to some degree. The beds are super comfortable, you never run out of hot water, and the upstairs outdoor patio is a wonderful spot to relax and re-hash the day with you favorite beverage and snacks. The stairs getting to the top has a curve halfway up and is very narrow, but my wife and I took it and are happy with our decision. Three of the bedrooms have their own bath, but the fourth has to share one downstairs. As Augusto explained to us, this use to be a very quiet, older neighborhood, but has morphed into a spot where many of the younger working people gather to meet and socialize. Keep in mind that in BA, people don't eat in the evening until sometime after 8PM, so having groups in the area is not unusual later into the evening and weekends even later, but we never felt uncomfortable or threatened in any way - quite the opposite actually. It's a very safe crowd. If you can't find a place to eat and have a drink in this area, then you're still inside. You could almost, literally, roll out of bed and find a meal - of almost any kind. ...and they're all good! There is lots of public transportation, and taxis are plentiful (unless it's raining, and then, like any city, they all disappear) If this was just the 2 of us, I probably would have opted for something different, but for a small group, this is ideal OH - down the street a block, is an eatery called "Sullivans". They make, absolutely, the best Bloody Mary in the world! :-)

Fantastic week in Buenos Aires

Great house in excellent location. Augusto, the owner, is a class act. Beautiful and quaint house, with a beautiful terrace including a grill for an Argentine asado. We were two families of four and the house was very comfortable, with everything you need. I recommend it and will return when I get a chance. Added bonus, a great wine shop across the street and a great coffee shop a block away.

Casabierta

No es por la excelente ubicación en Palermo, tampoco por lo confortable del lugar, mucho menos por la excelente relación calidad precio. Es por Augusto y Carina.
