Welcoming staff, amazing views and good restaurant
Stayed here for 9 nights and had a lovely time. The hotel is right on the esplanade with perfect views of the harbour. Staff were so friendly and made you feel welcome. The room had everything you need from toiletries, kettle, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, iron and ironing board. We are ate at the restaurant a couple of times and the food was really good. Highly recommend this hotel

Good location and peaceful stay
Check in was great and the room had a lovely harbour view and was clean. Housekeeping however did not always stock up on teabags and coffee and we had to keep asking. One day there was no coffee and could only get decaf which shouldn’t be the case when you are paying over $400 per night. The pool is nice (although very cold).
The breakfast was nice - omelet was delicious however we were never told this was an option to fill out an order when entering the restaurant but luckily discovered this on the last day.
Coffee machine in the restaurant was always out of order. The pump machine for the hot water always splashes hot water so maybe that could be changed.
The carpet in the hallway on the 9th floor needs a good clean - overall the hotel is old and could do with a good reno.
However the room was lovely and we had dinner one night in the restaurant which was lovely. I would stay again.

Top of the tree for staff and service.
What impressed me most about the hotel was the staff. Michelle on Reception could not have been more helpful and friendly, and all the restaurant, bar and housekeeping staff really gave meaning to the term ‘professional service’. In terms of facilities, the Garden Inn is not top of Hilton’s pecking order, but its staff and service couldn’t be bettered.

Room was spotless and the staff were brilliant. From checking in , food staff and room service.
Restaurant was excellent and both breakfast and dinner provided with flavours to suit anyone.
Loved the text message each day checking in to make sure we were happy with everything.
Make sure you book a room with a view of the bay and sunsets!

Can There Be A Better Place To Stay In Darwin?
As a regular visitor to Darwin, I almost always stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. This was my 22nd stay at this lovely hotel - convenient location, off-street parking, just across the street from the beautiful Bicentennial Park and Darwin Harbour. The staff are without exception, friendly, professional and welcoming. A dip in the pool every afternoon is a highlight for me, after enjoying Darwin's wonderful weather. My room, as usual, was spacious, clean and comfortable, but alas (due to high occupancy) I missed out on a harbour view room - my principal reason for selecting this of the 3 Hilton options in Darwin. The harbour views, and stunning Darwin sunsets, or wet season storms are gorgeous. Always an excellent breakfast selection. Dinner at Together&Co is always good, and reasonably priced - if you can resist Darwin's many dining alternatives.
