The place to stay in Kununurra
We had a number of nights at this excellent hotel. Initially we were picked up from Kununurra airport on the complementary scuttle. After a very friendly welcome we checked into our comfortable room with double bed, kitchenette and shower room. The hotel is very well designed around a cool quadrangle lush with trees and plants with supporting facilities of a laundry, big kitchen and swimming pool. The hotel is opposite Coles facilitating food shopping. The hotel was kind enough to store kit whilst we were away on trek.
The hotel is centrally located for shopping, visiting Kelly’s Knob or the Hidden Valley. Day trips to Lake Argyle are feasible.

Location and security in Kununurra
Stayed 3 comfortable nights at motel. Modern clean room, air con and fan worked very well. Strong hot shower. Small kitchen area with bar fridge, microwave, kettle and plenty of crockery and cutlery. Very handy location, opposite Cole’s supermarket, 5 min walk to Hotel Kununurra and 5 min to Blak Tapas cafe. Easy walk to Mirima park and little Bungle Bungles. Felt safe and secure, the staff very helpful.

Basic but good
The staff were very friendly and all too willing to help. First and only big pain, as there are no pickups from the airport after 6pm, the motel recommended Quick Collect service. They also advised us to book early, which we did. We got out of the little airport to find that the only car was already full of other passengers, so much for booking early. So we had to wait for the car to come back. When he did, it was a young man who let us know that his greatest aim was to leave Kunanurra as soon as possible. We said about the booking, and his response was welcome to Kunanurra. It was a 5 minute drive to our hotel, price? $40.00. Just highway robbery, no meter, no quote, just $40. My advice, use anybody else (there is a Kunanurra Taxi service, we found out later.

Otherwise, the rooms were basic but adequate, there were no places to hang clothes so the clothes tended to be spread around the room. Shower was hot with a good flow of water. There is a good sized pool and a large communal kitchen. The motel is in the middle of town with good access to all shops and amenities. The manager did drive us back to the airport at no charge and was really lovely.

Comfortable rooms and beds, everything nice and clean, though basic. Room was a little noisy at times as it was near the front and downstairs, with upstair's footsteps, the gate, and people talking in carpark.

Top accommodation.
We stayed at the Kimberley Croc Motel for 4 nights. Shiree who greeted us on our arrival was wonderful. She informed us on different tours and was able to book them for us. The beds were comfortable and the room was supplied with everything you needed. They had a kitchen for the guests to use which was fully equipped. Right in the middle of Kununurra
