Reasonably good hotel

I found it a little diffficult to find the entrance driving from the main street but was ok afterwards. Reception staff were not particularly friendly. Room was clean and well presented and quiet. Appreciated the coffee machine in the room. Very business-like atmosphere around the place.

New hotel with good rooms and new spacious stylish fit out.

This has clearly been refurbished recently. Handy to restaurants etc. good parking. Good rooms. Quiet. A balcony even. Well appointed and spacious. Happily stay there again.

My new happy place in Melbourne

This is the second time I’ve stayed here and it’s great. Being from regional Victoria I have stayed at way too many Melbourne hotels that are quite expensive, noisy and with tiny parking spaces.
I cannot believe how quiet it is at the Sebel and the rooms are very well fitted out and the beds comfy.
It’s also nice to have secure spacious parking at a reasonable $20 per day.
I now use Sebel Kew as my Melbourne base as it’s close to the city centre and other parts of town I like to visit. There’s direct tram access and readily available Ubers for rides and food deliveries.

Helpful staff. Gym is pretty good as far as hotel gyms go.

The room was ok. Clean. But not the one I had paid for. The manager eventually contacted me after I had rang the front desk to inquire why I had been given a different room. She said that there had been a ‘computer glitch’ and because they were at capacity she would give me a small refund. I had to ask her for an apology which was resentfully given. She could have offered a bottle of wine or something?! Won’t be staying there again.
