Roof top pool with a view
Location was amazingly close to everywhere we wanted to visit and was clean and comfortable!
Great value for the money with wonderful and helpful staff!

Poor room condition
Room needed a reno 20 years ago. Traffic noise inside the room when trying to sleep was like standing on the footpath next to the road

We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the condition of your apartment and, in particular, that the traffic noise affected your sleep. We completely understand how frustrating it is when you are trying to rest and the noise from outside is more noticeable than expected.
As we are located in the heart of Sydney, Metro Apartments on King is surrounded by the energy and activity of the city. Being centrally located does mean that the area can become particularly vibrant and busy on weekends, with increased traffic, pedestrians and activity continuing into the evening. We do sincerely apologise that this impacted your stay.
We would also like to clarify that the apartments on our lower floors are fitted with double-glazed windows to help reduce external noise. Our higher-floor apartments, meanwhile, offer some wonderful views across Darling Harbour and the surrounding Sydney skyline. We appreciate that the level of noise experienced can vary depending on the location and floor of the apartment, as well as what is happening around the property.
We are also continuing to make improvements throughout the property, and we are sorry that you felt your apartment was in need of renovation.
Had we known during your stay that the noise was affecting you, we would have been very happy to assist and, where availability allowed, move you to a quieter apartment. We always encourage guests to contact our Reception team if there is anything affecting their comfort, as we will do everything we reasonably can to find a suitable solution.
We appreciate your comments and will certainly take them into consideration as we continue to improve the property and the guest experience.

Wouldn't book again
The price was good but it was a very dirty room. Not from lack of cleaning from staff its just an old room with outdated furniture TV stand was old, the paint was old the carpet was old the kitchen appliances were old, the sofa was old. There were a few cockroaches I spotted but roaming around the around, the pillows were flat and old I didn't even want to put my face on them as the room just turned me off. I wouldn't be booking again. The staff were lovely and kind and the service at check in and check out was great. The rooms up keep was a big failure.

Regarding the pest issue you encountered, due to recent weather conditions there has been increased activity across the area. We do have a comprehensive and costly commercial pest control program in place, which is carried out on a weekly basis, however on this occasion it clearly did not meet the standard we aim to uphold. Please accept our apologies for this.
As discussed during your stay, we did move you to another room, which was an upgraded option, in an effort to make you more comfortable. I do hope that this improved your experience and that you were able to enjoy the remainder of your stay.
We also acknowledge your comments regarding the age and presentation of the room. Your feedback is important and has been noted as part of our ongoing plans to improve and refresh our rooms and facilities.

The air conditioner did not work properly and needs servicing, as it did not cool the room at all. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on and was also quite noisy during the night. The rooftop pool was poor. The only good thing about this apartment was its central location.….. Would not recommend
