Esaw Place is an oasis of well-being!
At Esaw Place, the flats are spacious and equipped with everything you need. The location guarantees a good refreshing breeze and a wonderful sea view in a pleasant neighbourhood with a more quiet level of tourism. So it's nice and relaxing, but places with more hustle and bustle are not far away, such as Oistins or Saint Lawrence Gap. But it's Sheila and Eric who make Esaw Place a real gem: both are hosts through and through, incredibly helpful and make you feel so much at home. Fantastic value for money on beautiful Barbados!

First visit to Barbados
Visiting a new place can be a bit daunting. You want to make the most of your time and get a feel of the local flavour.
We have found the perfect solution on Barbados, Esaw Place. Our hosts Eric & Shelia have lived on the island for many years and are terrific guides to all the nuances you will need.
The accommodations: priced very inexpensive. Everything you will need. Room was very clean and comfortable. It’s a one bedroom with full kitchen and 3 piece bathroom. Lots of large windows to catch the wonderful tropical breezes. If you rent a car, there is plenty of parking. Wifi is provided and worked amazingly. Air conditioning is provided with a token system. Hydro electricity is very expensive on the island. The token system is fair and very environmentally responsible. We found the system great and very cool when needed. Barbados isn’t a big island. Esaw place is close to everything you will want to get to. The airport is a quick 15 minute drive.
Esaw is a 5 minute walk to Chicken Rita’s. Possibly the best chicken on the planet and a true local gem. Surfers Bay is a 5 minute walk as well. Nice local pub and eatery located right on the ocean.
Now back to our hosts Eric and Shelia. You can go to Chicken Rita’s and Surfers Bay no matter where you decide to stay on the island. However there is a mark difference in experience if you go with Eric and Shelia. You are introduced instantly to the feeling of being local and very comfortable in your surroundings. What took them years to accomplish you benefit immediately. Simple things like ordering a rum and coke become truly unique when shown the Barbados way. Oistins Fish Fry, a very popular Friday event can be completely and utterly overwhelming. If you’re accompanied by the unofficial mayor and the first lady, you get treated like royalty.
I’ve used the rum and coke and Oistins as examples, Shelia and Eric’s knowledge applied to almost every aspect of our trip.
Esaw place is one of the best values we found on the island in straight cost for accommodation comparison. The knowledge and island care you will receive is beyond value. Insert credit card ad here...room X per night, drinks at local pub X, being in the perfect place with the perfect hosts, priceless.
We will be returning here in the near future.

Best of all worlds
This place has everything - the dual local/Canadian proprietors provide the authentic experience and care sincerely about the experiences and safety of each guest. The apartments are simple and complete with opportunities for either sea breeze or AC. Such a close walk to the point where the sea meets the ocean, several wonderful restaurants, and up the west coast to many sights and areas.
Rates are Extremely reasonable! Unbelievable, really. Visit Esaw Place. Not only will you not regret it, you will move mountains to return.
