Excellent service

Great experience at the D8 Hotel Express. Clean hotel, comfortable and with excellent service. The location is also very good and greatly facilitated our stay. I would definitely come back! ✨

decline of management

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. At the time of hiring the accommodation, carried out through a travel agency, at no time we were informed that a specific authorization would be required for accommodation of a minor accompanied by the maternal grandmother. Our reservation was for five people, and since the hiring was informed that a child would travel accompanied by Grandma. The minor has permission from the parents, with a recognized signature in the cartel, authorizing her to travel and remain under the care of grandmother and aunts. Still, only when we arrived at the hotel, after more than 13 hours of travel, we were surprised by the requirement of a specific document for accommodation, a requirement that had never been previously informed by the agency or the hotel itself.
As a result, we were prevented from checking in and accessing the room, staying for about two hours at the reception, waiting for the parents to arrange and send the required permission. All this disorder could have been avoided with simple guidance before the trip.
What caused the most indignation, however, was the management’s stance. During the whole situation, the manager was limited to giving guidance to employees by phone and, even after the problem was resolved, did not have the initiative to talk to us or even apologize for the embarrassment caused. Demonstrated total lack of customer attention and lack of preparation to deal with a situation created by the establishment itself.
I would like to note the excellent service of the receptionist Mateus, who, with education, professionalism and empathy, sought to mitigate the embarrassment, apologizing for what happened, even though he was not responsible for the failure.
I travel frequently through various regions of the country and have never witnessed such unprepared reception in the face of a problem that could have easily been avoided with adequate information and a more respectful attitude of the management.
My low assessment is not about the structure of the hotel, but the lack of transparency in hiring, the disorganization in the service and, most importantly, the complete absence of care and respect from the management to its guests. Hospitality goes far beyond facilities; it starts at the reception and the way the customer is treated. Unfortunately, in this respect, the experience left much to be desired.

Good experience

The hotel was undergoing a small renovation, but nothing interfered with the stay. The room has a great size, everything very clean, comfortable bed, friendly attendants and the breakfast very delicious and tapioca at the time. The hotel is a short distance from the river.

Good cost/benefit

We only spent 1 night at the hotel, and I can say that it is a good cost/benefit.
There is parking, but with few places.
The location is good, you can go to the edge or, do as we ordered 99 and it was very fast and cheap.
The room has a good size, comfortable mattress and a relaxing shower.
Coffee leaves a little to be desired, but nothing that hurts too much.

Good cost benefit but the coffee is served very late generating queues.

Hotel with good cost benefit and great service. Loan towels for beach and pool is charged. Negative point is the time of breakfast, served from 07h00 generating queue at the entrance of the dining room because most tours leave between 7h10 and 7h15. People had to drink coffee running, because it was 7:10 until it was served. Other hotels in the city have coffee from 06:00 and those that offer 07:00 have what they call "morning coffee" for those who need to leave earlier.
Another negative point is the room has a door that connects to the next room where we can hear everything that happens next door and vice versa.
