Moderní camp

Byly jsme tu campovat, vybrali jsme si maličkou ale příjemnou chatičku. Zima nám nebyla, byla vyhřívaná a tak nám nic nechybělo. Obsluha kempu je prima a dokáže doporučit kam na výlety kolem kempu. Výborný kemp se vším všady.

Lots of walking

I got this information about the camp from one of the turists as they recommended this camping site. You can take the train to the Roznov. There is a bus that also takes you there and also smaller size of train. The scenery is beautiful. The people in town are friendly, there is a Kebab place and some coffee, ice cream and some shops where you can buy shorts and t - shirts and towels for swimming. Everything is pretty much in walking distance so I would prepare to have a good shoes and some snacks with you. There are also many walking trails and maps displayed everywhere...you won't get lost.

Lots to offer...but all for extra cost!

AVOID!!!!! Unless of course you are Czech, like paying cash extra for so many things and don't mind a minimal menu you may have to pay extra for!
Exploring other places in Czech left me happy I could speak English to most and trying to speak Czech to others. This place was a whole world of 'them' and 'us'! The staff were moody, you have to pay extra for the shower (I guess they like smelly patrons in their restaurant!) And there is absolutely NO point getting Full Board when booking. The choice of food was minimised for those who pre-booked food (vegetarian schnitzel only) and did not allow for fussy eaters. (The reason I pre-booked in the first place!).
Bedding was provided and the treehouse was cute but the window was made of plastic and don't expect to be able to use suitcase on wheels to get to the shed...the path is a literal small forest path uphill.
Also everything is cash only. Again an unpleasant surprise when the rest of the country seemed happy with card payments.

Nice but expensive

The camp is nice and there is a lot of activities for smaller children.
My children and I would sometimes go there on vacation for lunch or a snack at a local restaurant, to swim in the local pool (billed as a fire tank), jump on the trampolines, or ride a go-kart.
Unfortunately, everything became extremely expensive this year, so we will have to postpone this visit until next time. I know prices go up everywhere, but here it's extreme.
Just for the entrance to the complex it is 390 CZK (130 CZK per person including children). That won't leave much money for popsicles for the children.
The operator is probably trying to discourage unaccommodated visitors, which I understand, but on the other hand, I have always recommended this campsite with a clear conscience because I knew it.
And when family or friends came to visit me, I always advised them to stay here. But I won't do that now, because it's really expensive there and I won't even be able to afford to visit them there.

Satisfactory but can be much better

I stayed for 2 weeks in the winter. It is probably much better in the summer. The accommodation is ok but there are a few drawbacks .
For example, bed linen is not changed regularly, there are no towels in the accommodation, the small staff is unreasonably rude (first time we cannot pay by card.
The accommodation is new, the heating is great

We have agreed to change your bed linen and towels whenever you wish. You should have requested an exchange by phone! This is how we agreed. At Covid time the reception operates by telephone. Payment by card is a matter of course with us.
