The best in Bahir Dar

Beautiful hotel with reasonable price. The room is so clean filled with different amenities and beautiful furnitures. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The spa was amazing. I really enjoyed the breakfast. I recommend this hotel for every one who wish to have best hotel experience in the beautiful city. The hotel's location (being located @the heart of the city) makes it the best to explore the downtown. Thank you all the staffs and management bodies for giving us the best experience.

A bizarre lunchtime disappointment

Having lived in Ethiopia a long time. I must say that yesterday I had the most bazaar and unpleasant restaurant expertience in my many year here, at lunchtime, at Olive Hotel..
1. We orded a chicken breast, with crushed potatoes, spinach, and brown sauce.
The meal delivered was a chicken leg, with french fries...not asked for or liked...and NO sauce.
2. The barman took the order but in our long 40 minute wait for the food no staff member asked us about drinks.
3. Two staff came and out theTV on above our heads without asking if we wanted this.
(we had only come here as the church noise at Yerusalem Restaurant was so loud.
4. We were told we would only be charged for the other main meal - a nice fish golash.
5. When the bill came both main meals were on it and at 50% higher prices than we had seen on the menu. When I asked to see the menu again they showed us another one with the much higher prices....in other words they had by mistake or intent got us to order from a menu with much lower prices.
6. It took about 35 minutes to get the bill which was about double what I expected.
7. When we moved downstairs to wait for the bill and then query it.........two people offered to give us some money back but no one actually did so.
So if you stay at Olive Hotel, use some other restaurant.

Don’t stay in this absolute dump hotel. And I used the turn hotel very loosely. I can’t convey strongly enough how disgusting this place is. Blood stained headboards that have clearly been up since the first world war. Rude staff, windows leaking, no hot water, broken furniture, dirty utensils and actual poo in the kettle. Pretty sure I’m going to end up with some sort of disease. Finally this place is a complete hole.

During my stay at the hotel from October 22,2021 to November 2,2021, i found the hotel to be peaceful with neat room.It will be mean not to acknowledge the caring and hospitable receptions and room service.The fair price coupled with the location makes the hotel preferable. However,food served at breakfast lacks variety.

Excellent services

The hotel has been amazing with tranquil rooms and food. The room service was also top notch. I liked the Sauna, massage room and the large meeting room.
The security too was good both inside and outside the hotel
