Chindonan diving adventure and stay

Had an awesome stay at Chindonan Dive Resort. Best staging point for diving the Coron Bay wrecks with the shortest commute to the dive sites. Matt was a very knowledgeable guide and dive lead who gave us very clear briefs and managed the group well in terms of confidence and air consumption. I am a much more confident wreck diver as a result of our time here. Sometimes there are power dips, there is no shop so bring snacks if you need them and if you are fussy with water maybe bring a portable filter. None of these things were a concern to us. Will absolutely be back to this island paradise:) staff very friendly and did their best to accommodate us both diving and non diving. Highly recommend

Great location, bare accomodations

We wanted to check out a location that was close to shipwrecks. The location is peaceful if it were not for constant construction going on. The water was not hot and the electricity is not 24/7. Staff is friendly and the food is ok. Beware of additional fees (van from airport to coron, and the boat from coron to chindonan resort) it adds up. Bring your own dive gear if you can.

Amazing hotel with stunning views. The dive resort is excellent and very knowledgeable guides near the wrecks.

The dive resort is excellent the wrecks are a short distance from the resort. The dive guides, Matt, Wally and Frank are extremely knowledgeable and are comfortable with wreck penetration. We had an organised trip to dive a wreck in the North of Busuanga and also Barracuda lake. The boat skippers were knowledgeable and took us to Culion for the museum (which was opened for us) and church (constructed in hard coral). The hotel is having renovations but is still of high quality. The staff are excellent and are from the local community, they made us feel like part of the community. We will be booking again for next year.

Would have been almost perfect had it not been for the work.

I would have scored the highest possible if it had not been for the noise and visual nuisance (also visual I insist well) related to the construction of new rooms and a swimming pool.
Regarding the swimming pool its construction totally removed the area where there were mats.
Without these nuisances the value for money would have been very good.
The deluxe room was fine but unfortunately located very close to the construction of a new house.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
A big thank you to Franck the French dive master who was able to organize our snorkeling trips by boat.
Snorkelling in front of the resort is interesting.
We were able to go kayaking on the small island in front of the resort and also on the two islands on the left which allowed us to explore other areas for snorkelers.
In short when the work is finished this resort will be recommended without hesitation.

Our stay at Chindonan Beach and Dive resort was excellent!! The staff are all very accomodating and friendly. We were greeted with welcome drinks and big smiles.
The rooms were spacious and very clean. We were in the new ones, ocean front deluxe and the views - you cannot get better. This location is remote, and island paradise, ideal for those wanting some peace and relaxation away from the tourist crowds, exactly what we were looking for. It is a 40 mins speedboat ride from coron.
The food was delicious, and the staff took exyra care to ensure I had gluten free options. Dinner is served family, buffet style, Everyone eats together it is so lovely.
Special shout out to Matt and Frank who took special care with us diving, my kids had a great time! The added bonus were the puppies, Cher and Madeline, so sweet.
We will be back!
