A wonderful 4 nights stay
Check-in was quick and efficient and the reception staff were always polite and helpful.
Our room was in the deluxe part of the hotel. The room was smaller than we’d expected but it was clean and had a big panoramic window looking out onto pine trees. The local ski slope was visible to the right. There was a coffee machine in the room as well as a fridge, a hairdryer and a nice little pot of sweets on the surface behind the bed.
We found the temperature quite difficult to regulate in the room as it was quite hot. But it seemed to improve over the stay. Entry into the room was with a code so no key needed. Our friends had a few issues with their code but were given a key by reception. The main part of the hotel was only a minute’s walk away from our area. This is where the restaurant and bar were. It was rather too hot in the main area of the hotel which was where you met to go out on excursions - usually in about 4 layers of clothing! But as people were coming in and out of the front door, this was understandable. On our first evening we went downstairs to the kit room to get fitted for snow boots and ski suits - this is not chargeable. We were also given freshly laundered wool socks and thick mittens. The food standard was very high and you had the choice of either a meat/fish dish and a vegetarian meal each evening. The food we had wasn’t particularly hot but it was of a high quality and we enjoyed most of it. In the evening there was always a soup and a salad bar to choose from for a starter. They also served you fresh bread and butter and there was more to help yourself from if you wanted it. Desserts were good too. Breakfast there was always porridge, as well as cereals, breads, cakes, and cold options. Fruit juices were available and there was a machine for tea/coffee/hot chocolate and there was a water machine too. On our second night it was a special birthday for my husband and the hotel put us in a private dining area and had put balloons up and decorated the table. He was given a birthday cake and there was also a card and a bar of (delicious) chocolate. We were also given the pasta (vegetarian) option to try as well as the meat dishes we had ordered. The service was very attentive. When we complimented the pasta dishes and enquired as to what the ingredients were, the chef came out to talk to us which was a nice touch.
The bar was small and was usually busy most evenings but there was an extra area to sit upstairs if you needed it.
We did 3 excursions- the husky dogs, a snow trek and the snow mobiles. All of them were fantastic and the guides were friendly and informative. We really loved our stay here and would most definitely return. Temperatures were around -10 when we were there. I’ve never seen so much snow and it was truly magical. We took a trip out to the snow village whilst there too and that was a lot of fun.

Good hotel, a wonderful and restful experience!
We had half board, good breakfast and varied dinner which tastes very good.
