Good deal for those looking for a Pension/Restaurant with a decent Price/Award ratio.

Very welcome
Excellent local cuisine, we were half board for 7 days, and were never disappointed by the dinner. Organic and seasonal local products.
Simple and relaxed atmosphere.
Possibility to request a sandwich as a crust break.

If the boss is alone: RUN AWAY!

I was a walker, and I was descended from Roncevaux. I had called in the morning to ask if I could come a little earlier because it was the heatwave. The normal check was 3:00. He offered to come at 2pm.
I tried to hang out, but finally I arrived at 1:30 pm. Everything was closed. He saw me outside but he didn’t let me in finally cycles arrived and I was able to go back with them when he saw me, he told me it wasn’t 2pm yet. I just remind you that it was 34° and that I came to do 27 km. I didn’t even need to go home. I just wanted to get away from the sun, but obviously this gentleman never walked.!
Then everything was all right. So that I could organize myself the next day, I asked him if he had any idea about the weather. He kindly replied that if he wanted to know the weather, he went to the sites and he made me a list of all the weather sites telling me to manage and especially making me understand that I was a fool.
The pompom was breakfast.
He shows me the well-stocked table, it is true, but there was no infusion. I ask him for infusions, he tells me to look at everything is there on an ever unpleasant time, asks him what I did to him to make him so unpleasant.
My answer really deserves to be in the annals: "Always ask me something". I tell him that it may be his job to take care of his customers.....
I just forgot that I haven’t had any water since the evening at 9am because he had cut off the finish line following a leak at home. At the time of the check, he didn’t make a move, he didn’t even offer the beer I had in the evening.
So I left without a shower having brushed my teeth with water remained from the day before, and obviously without water to walk!
By honesty, I have to say that his hotel is very clean the correct evening meal and the welcome I had had by the person on the phone when I booked quite normal The only problem, I fell on the closing day when there is only the boss to take care of everything and it obviously neither very sociable nor very commercial.

A nice surprise for a hotel restaurant that goes off the beaten path

Very good hotel with a lovely view of the Basque Mountains and the Nive, parking right next door, a large terrace for an aperitif or coffee, or dinner or lunch when the weather permits, a menu for 25 euros which is excellent for dessert I recommend the crème brûlée
