Bhatbaan Restaurant

We stayed at the neighbouring property Miltava (part of the Iora group) and decided to visit Bhatbaan restaurant located inside the Iora property.
It specialises in Assamese cuisine. We were intrigued by the traditional Assamese eating plate (called Baan) placed in front of floor cushions for us to sit crosslegged on the floor and eat.
Our server, Mr. Montu’s hospitality took the experience to the another level. He explained every dish in detail with genuine passion. He has been at Bhatbaan for past 11 years. The establishment is lucky to have Mr Montu working for them for so long.
The food was wonderful, very similar to what one would get at an Assamese home , without excessive usage of oil and masala.

Nice Place to Stay for Kaziranga National Park

This is a nice place to stay for Kaziranga National Park. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was decent. It is very quiet at night. It is in a great location to do safaris. The staff was excellent.

Excellent resort at Kaziranga

Undoubtedly the No 1 resort at Kaziranga. Rooms are well appointed for a Assam based resort, food and beverages are excellent and in general the ambience is specially suited for families.
One special word for Arunav and his team in the front desk who go out of their way to make guests comfortable, arrange the Jeep and Elephant safaris which are the highlights of any Kaziranga trip

A great place from where you can visit the Kaziranga National Park

We had a great trip in November 2025. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly. We had no problem arranging and adjusting our Elephant Safari and jeep safari schedules. The hotel management was also kind enough to hook us up with local experts Arun and Rishi who travelled with us in the jeep and guided us as we were trying to locate the animals and birds. Thank you, Arun and Rishi. The Hotels have a great Assamese restaurant. I would advise anyone going to Kaziranga and staying at Iora to try this restaurant if you care to immerse a little bit into the local foods. It was so good we decided to go there for 2 evenings. The Hotel also has a standard fare for people who want to eat something they are familiar with.

Iora - The Retreat -good place for visiting Kaziranga

Went on a sightseeing trip to Kaziranga. The hotel was suggested by a travel agent. Nicely located to see Kaziranga - near Central range. Just off main highway. A large area with great gardens - well kept.
The staff were nice and helpful. Food in the restaurants was good and the local Assamese one was also good. Rooms well kept and the housekeeping staff adequate.
I would recommend the place
