Very Good Hotel lacking Quality Service

The area where the hotel is located is not a very posh but the hotel is very good.
The overall atmosphere within the hotel is quiet and cozy.
Rooms are the best assets of the hotel. In fact, the rooms put the hotel to a very premium category. Rooms are very spacious, filled with all amenities and provide good linen. Good size wardrobe, table and an elegant suiting area. If you are on the Mussoorie side view then the whole experience of staying here becomes very enjoyable.
Maintenance is an issue. The room where we stayed the lights in the bathroom were not funcional. Despite making complaints it didn't get rectified.
The staff is new and not well trained. This is a problem on the owner's side. The owners created a decent property but not backed by professional staff. This will make customers not to be loyal.
The restaurant of the hotel is the jewel. Good rooftop restaurant. Very beautiful view of the hills. Provides good vibes. The problem is the untrained staff and also short-staffed. Food quality and variety is good.
I don't understand that owners invest money in creating the property but becomes miser in keeping good staff. They must understand that only good staff create loyal customer base.

Overrated hotel

Location good.
Atmosphere good.
Rooms spacious. But room condition is bad. See photo of Room 406. Bathroom was terrific. Smelly, exhaust not working, room damp. Only one set of toiletries provided. After repeated call, we were obliged to have another set set. Room price is around 20 percent high .
Only good is food quality. Just suparb.

Luxurious Stay

Vishranti Kanal Road Hotel stands out for its stunning architecture and luxurious ambience. The Presidential Suite, in particular, deserves special mention for its elegance and spaciousness—it truly offers a 5-star feel in terms of design and comfort.
However, the service quality was a major disappointment. Basic amenities like shower gel and handwash were missing from the bathrooms. Drinking water was only provided after repeated requests, and room cleaning was inconsistent, with staff citing a shortage of housekeeping personnel.
The only consistently positive aspect was the front office staff, who were highly professional, courteous, and helpful throughout the stay. There is no complaint regarding their conduct. The real issue lies in the lack of adequate service staff and poor service delivery, which significantly impacted the overall experience.
In summary, while the hotel infrastructure and rooms—especially the Presidential Suite—are truly luxurious, the service quality fails to meet expectations, making it feel like a 5-star setup with 2-star support.
I hope they must have improved on this concern by the time I'm writing the review. Looking forward for staying again with improved service.

Good experience.

Vishranti resort is one of the best place in dehradun, located on the fringes of protected sal forests, near to UPES college and some good schools. Food was good and the staff is courteous, would like to visit again with the family. Highly recommend ! Thankyou.
