A GREAT PLACE TO STAY

Great local hotel and great crew working there. Always there when you needed them, etc. I have stayed there twice and same fantastic service at a good price. Food was good and just a phone call away. Recommended.

Thieves runs this hotel at night

I booked this hotel via booking.com and paid fully in advance. But the manager or the gatekeeper at night refused me and said there is no booking from booking.com. I had lot of luggage and I was tired after 24 hours flight and left the taxi and it was midnight. That guy probably the thieve working there and cheating the management. I didn't have enough cash and he said he can allow if I pay 1500 cash. Had no other choice so at that dark night I crossed the road and used ATM and then only he gave me a crappy room. I though I will complain when I return but my father passed away and I was stuck there for another 15 days and I forgot to complain. I forgot the name of that guy but he is the night guard. I am very sure that he stole the money and never gave it to the owner.

Best homely atmosphere

This hotel is meant to be homely atmosphere and very kind natured people, room service and other food related things are excellent. Hardly 1.5 Kms from Netaji Subashchandra Airport. Very convenient stay near to all shopping places and food outlets like City centre, KFC, Big Bazar.

Satisfied with the stay

I have been to the Welcome Regency quite a few times. I would recommend Welcome Regency to all if you are looking for a hotel near the airport and you have a low budget.
I remember once since my flight from Bangalore to Kolkata was delayed hence I arrived Kolkata at around 12:20 pm. I called the hotel just to inform them that i will be reaching the hotel in 10 - 15 mins. On arrival to the hotel, they realised that we did not have our dinner and told us to take rest at our room and that dinner will be ready within 20 mins. I was a little surprised to see fresh fish curry, dal, egg curry and rice being served this late around 1pm. Very customer friendly staff. Clean Hotel. Overall I am always satisfied with my visit and would rate 8/10
