Good place

Has wonderful view points
nice arrangement ,
Open area to go for walk ,Nice cold weather due to hilly station breezes , fog , rain ......
One of the rooms has a balcony which is really nice. There is a kitchen you can use which was really nice for us to be able to cook for ourselves and one night the people who run it cooked for us which was so kind and generous of them and it was delicious! We had so much fun in this really friendly place nina and shaji make you feel so at home and welcome we actually came back at the end of our trip to stay there again! i would really recommend this place

A Big Disappointment...

If it weren't that the pictures matched the building, we would have sworn we were not a the same place all the previous reviews have comment on. It appears the family has moved out of the house, leaving the homestay in the hands of a couple of caretakers. The downstairs living area and kitchen are stark, not homey at all. The rooms and bathrooms (with cold water showers) were clean enough. The breakfast was decent (though store-bought chapattis were served) and was served on the roof terrace that sported some dying plants and a pile of broken furniture off to one side. We chose this place as our jumping off point in Kerala because the reviews all comment about how helpful the owners were with helping to sort out planning, etc. for their time in Kerala. The caretakers were kind enough, but didn't have the wider knowledge needed to help us. We had planned to return to Anna's at the end of our trip, but went elsewhere instead. If the cost of the rooms were around 20 USD, then I would say this place is a good value. However, the cost per room is nearly twice that. The 4 of us thought the beds were extremely firm.

Run by lovely people, we had a really nice stay

The house is really nice with big rooms with really comfy beds! The bathrooms are really clean. One of the rooms has a balcony which is really nice. There is a kitchen you can use which was really nice for us to be able to cook for ourselves and one night the people who run it cooked for us which was so kind and generous of them and it was delicious! We had so much fun in this really friendly place nina and shaji make you feel so at home and welcome we actually came back at the end of our trip to stay there again! i would really recommend this place.

Anna Homestay - a wonderful place, when you arrive in Cochin / Kochi.

Anna Homestay was the first acomodation on our latest India trip.
It couldn´t have been better. Our hosts Christina and Francis made us really feel welcome and at home.
Christina´s breakfast meals we enjoyed on the lovely balcony were delicious. Our hosts were always there to help with our questions and to give us good advice what to see and visit.
Francis even drove me personally to the liquor store short before closing time to buy some beers. All at no extra charge!
Their beautiful house is located right in the heart of Fort Cochin, where all the interesting places are in a walking distance.
The rooms are clean and very nice, with natural marble floors and carved wooden furniture. We wanted to stay for 2 days and then it was a week. Of course we had to come back for some days, before we flew back home from Cochin.
Christina, Francis and their 2 daughters are a very nice family to stay with. We wish them all the best for their future and good luck with their new Gym for ladies that they started at the begining of 2011.

All around great homestay

My husband and I had a wonderful 5 night stay at this homestay. The family is great, very friendly, personable and helpful in everyway, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the location was ideal for wandering around town. We really enjoyed our time here and were sad to leave.
