Amazing

Couldn’t have asked for more. The hosts went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, organising a day trip around the local area, a three-day trek with a stay at another family’s home, and a fantastic day of fishing.
They were also incredibly helpful in arranging my onward travel to my next destination, which made everything so much easier.
The houseboat is beautifully presented and offers a truly unique experience, right in the middle of Dal Lake with incredible views of the surrounding mountains.
I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be returning in the future.

Home away from home

From the moment we stepped onto Houseboat Wild Rose, we felt the warmth of genuine Kashmiri hospitality. The rooms were spotless, beautifully furnished, and offered breathtaking views of Dal Lake. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and the homemade food — especially the Kashmiri dishes — was outstanding. Truly felt like staying with family.

Wonderful stay at dallake

Houseboat Wild Rose is the perfect mix of comfort and Kashmiri charm. The rooms are clean and beautifully designed, with stunning lake and mountain views. The hospitality was exceptional — the hosts made us feel like family and the homemade meals, especially the traditional Kahwa tea, were amazing. A peaceful and memorable experience, highly recommended!

Memorable and Magical!

We stayed a week on the Wild Rose Houseboat in Kashmir and it was fantastic! We were treated like friends by the kind staff and gracious host and his family. Every day was full of warmth and hospitality.
Coming from Dehli and after travelling to other parts of India, staying right on the lake at Ghat 15 is a peaceful experience and sharing in the local living made it especially unique. We were lucky to be there during the week of Eid to experience the cultural traditions and celebrations.
We took day trips from the houseboat which were all well- planned. We happily returned each evening to the relaxing lake, sunset, birdsong and a delicious meal. We felt safe, looked after, and grateful for the hospitality and beauty around us each day and all throughout this region.
