A wonderful experience in Varanasi!

It was a three-day, two-night stay and a bullet-proof schedule, but they provided a variety of activities to make the Varanasi experience enjoyable.
I really enjoyed interacting with the kids, especially at CITY WALK where they showed me where they were making silk fabric.

A warm and welcoming home

I stayed with Somit for two consecutive years. The first year, I was volunteering with children, and the second year I returned on my own. During my first visit, I was looking for a place where I could have someone reliable to turn to if needed, and that is exactly what I found.
Somit, his wife, and his mother are wonderful people who helped me a lot, not only with advice but also in difficult situations. For example, when I had to get to the airport and it was impossible to find a taxi because the roads were blocked, they went out of their way to help me, speaking with.
They were incredibly kind, caring, and supportive throughout my stay. I am very grateful for their hospitality. If you are looking for a simple, authentic place where you can enjoy delicious homemade food, I would highly recommend staying with them. Over my two visits, I spent a total of 15 days there, eating breakfast and dinner every day, and I always enjoyed the food and never experienced any issues..

Wonderful place to stay

Such a lovely guest house, Somit was so helpful and kind when we needed advice. the location is perfect there is a huge range of great activities. Wonderful cause too they do great work educating lovely children.

Friendly welcoming well positioned hostel

Took a bit of finding in the alleys but once here great. Very friendly welcome. Good English. Not posh but value for money . Other backpackers to share stories with. Good simple food . Relaxing roof top with distant views to Ganges. Great location to explore from. Last but not least , lovely to be able to help with the children schooling project 4-6pm everyday except Sunday. Thank you Somit

Guesthouse with a beautiful purpose!

It was equally good searching and they were very friendly people! Food can be made very well for you, because there is a cafe in it (bowl of compassion). The hostel is set up to help poor children from the neighbourhoods and teach certain subjects (I saw this with my own eyes, because it happens in the hostel from 16.00 - 18.00). Nice goal! The shared bedroom is simple and could perhaps be a bit cleaner, but everything is there. 2 showers that are okay. No toilet paper, but also okay!
