Comfy, clean and welcoming.

I felt very safe here. Not far from the Main Street. Good cafes close by. Clean and comfy rooms. Owners helpful and friendly. Lovely well behaved little dog. A peaceful place. Fruit, good coffee and sometimes banana pancakes for breakfast :)

Would recommend

Great location! Very close to the main town and just a short walk away from the monkey forest. The rooms are ok. Breakfast was banana pancakes which are amazing!!!! The overall look of it gives the feeling of a temple which creates a cultural environment. One downside which might have been Ubud in general but we received a fair amount mosquito bites during our visit.

Good

A very cultural few nights in Ubud! Bed was a little dusty, but room was perfectly fine, just a bit hot as the fan was rubbish. This meant lots of mosquitos. Awesome location right in the street, and next to a lovely little cafe/restaurant next door which has the cheapest goreng we found! Great banana pancakes for breakfast, and can re fill water bottle. WiFi was awful, but can go to restaurant next door again for that.

Good location if you're on a backpacker budget

A very nice homestay. Good location in Ubud, short walk to a coco mart, monkey forest and restaurants. You walk through this little gate off the street into their Balinese garden which is very tranquil. Our only complaint is the loud chickens next door that wake you in the morning and the dogs that bark throughout the night but that is not a fault of the guesthouse, just unfortunate neighbours!
The owner is very welcoming and helpful. We had a bit of a mix up with Agoda on arrival... we had booked an aircon room but for the price we paid we were supposed to be in a fan room, however she kindly sorted us out with an aircon room.
Breakfast served on the balcony in the morning is a lovely touch, some of the restaurants near by add on a hefty service charge and government tax to your food bill so it's a great way to save money. We had eggs and toast with fruit salad, and another day we had banana pancakes.
We hired a bike from here to visit the rice fields, temples and waterfall for 60k which did the job. We also booked onwards travel to Sanur for a good price with the help of the owner.

we planned to only spend 3 nights and ended up spending 13

I spent 3.5 weeks in Bali.... The first 2 were booked in Kuta.... We then travelled to Ubud and told the taxi" driver we wanted to find a family run place... We were taken to the delta Dewata where the owner was waiting for us.... ... We originally said 3 nights........ They (husband wife 2 kids and grandparents) made it so welcoming.... They got us scooters and by the 3Rd night we weren't ready to leave..... We stayed another 5!
We were taken to the base of Mt Batur for the sunrise climb and picked up on the other side.... Breakfast was the best we had! We then left our bags there travelled on said scooter to lovina through gitgit.... And back to amed and candidasa over the next 4 nights not one of the "grand" hotels came in par with Tungjung! .... We then returned and stayed the next 5 nights too! Everything is in walking distance or easy to travel to........ Taro and the animal parks.... Celuk BatuBulan and so much more were explored with Tungjung as our base.... We couldn't thank the staff enough and I've never been anywhere in Australia that had such awesome service....
