Very nice quiet B&B in Connemara

We spent 2 nights in this B&B, certainly outside the city (Clifden, which is nothing exceptional), but perfectly located, surrounded by nature and on the Sky road
Everything went well, and Ruth’s breakfast was perfect. 4 different choices that allowed us to know all types of this meal that Irish people enjoy
Besides, it is a very nice house, decorated in part by an ex-musician (too bad we did not see him after our arrival, we could have told him that one of our first concerts was that of U2 ‘joshua tree’ in 87, he will understand ...)

Conducive to rest

Superb house with musical decoration 3 minutes from Clifden by car. Very nice room and excellent breakfast. On the Sky road in front of the sheep and the bay, the place is perfect for rest. Beautiful friendly room to exchange with other guests at the end of the day. Perfect Welcoming of our guests. Many attentions in the room such as tour guides and chargers provided.

Wonderful stay

Staying at Hillside was a highlight of our trip in Ireland! Ruth was an incredibly friendly and welcoming host. The rooms are decorated so thoughtfully and we loved looking at all the rock & roll memorabilia in the halls. So cool! Breakfast was delicious and the scenery around the b&b could not be beat, right by the Clifden Castle, as well as cows, sheep, and ponies. It was also an easy walk to the town of Clifden and a quick drive to Connemara hikes. On top of everything, when one of us accidentally forgot something in the room after our stay, Ruth very kindly offered to send it to our hotel in Dublin. Truly could not recommend Hillside more!

Lovely Stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hillside Lodge. Ruth was an amazing host. She was kind, friendly and very accommodating. The lodge is lovely, with perfectly appointed decor. Everything was neat and clean. Both the lodge and surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The morning breakfast was delicious. This location is close to town,
Everything about our stay was pleasant. We look forward to staying at Hillside Lodge again in the future! If you are thinking about booking, don’t hesitate! You will enjoy your stay!

Directly on the Skyroad with super delicious breakfast

We've been to Hillside Lodge years ago. Since we liked it so much in the area and in the lodge we have been there again this year. The rooms are a bit old but comfortably furnished and clean. We had rooms at the end of the corridor and didn't notice anything from our neighbors.
Breakfast is the highlight! You can choose from different variants in advance. We stayed 5 nights there and tried everything and it was just all super delicious.
The lodge is located directly on the Skyroad which is best explored by bike.
We made our way to Clifden for dinner on foot.
Great accommodation with super nice hosts!
