Room was good, great location, food and pub excellent, and the staff were friendly and super helpful. Good value too.

Wonderful

My husband and I recently stayed at the Mills Inn. Wonderful stay, great location, beautiful clean room, friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere in the bar, responsive servers and the food was excellent. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Old World

Had a two night stay with a friend. Two double rooms for single occupancy. Room was old world, very clean, tastily furnished with 'antique' furniture. Ensuite smallish but adequate, like the room, spotless, only fault was that it took the hot water a long time to get there. Price was bed only, €60, breakfast was available ranging from €9 to €14, still very reasonable by today's standards. Eat in the pub both nights. Eat there for the first time probably 20 years ago and a few times since. Food then was excellent and it still is and again reasonably priced. Nice music on the Friday night. Well done

Bar Food

The Mills Inn was always a staple for us when travelling from Kerry to Cork.
It had been a while so was really looking forward to stopping again with my husband & childen. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the same. Poor quality overall. So disappointing.
Vegetarian lasagne was full of mushy peas (!!) and besides that oddity just wasn't tasty.
Kids pasta was undercooked. No little bit of cheese on the side or even a wee bit of garlic bread, just void of anything special.
We had hoped for just have some toasties but they no longer offer sandwiches, such a pity. The toasties were always great.
So, I doubt Ill be back. I've been stopping at the Mills Inn sice I was a child so its a pity.

Quaint place with great food and great personalities.

Stayed at the Mills Inn for two nights recently. Caroline was so welcoming as was Don the owner. All have great personalities with a lighthearted attitude. So refreshing. Food was lovely and all the staff were so nice. Rooms so comfy. We’ll be back for a good session of music and craic in due course.
