It was a rough day in Iceland fleeing from a late-May snow storm in the East, but Anna Maria who was working at reception was simply fantastic. Her professionalism and concern for my stressful day truly turned things around because she went above and beyond. It may have been some little things from her perspective, but she was so great. My room was close to my adult children. Got some ice for our cooler.
The rooms were great. Probably the best night's sleep in Iceland (over 9 day trip). Great solid breakfast with sausage, eggs, cheese, cereal, and more.
It is my understanding that the ownership may be changing, but I hope nothing changes because I would love to stay there again on my next trip to Iceland.

Breakfast was great! bungalows are less then stellar. Not horrible but not super comfortable. Basically like a tough shed converted to a room w a bath.

the first day, we stayed in a bunkie. It was terrible. after shower, the bathroom has water everywhere. no warm water.
The rooms in the main building are good. staffs were nice, breakfast was food.

The hotel staff really makes this place stand out. It has been my favorite stay in Iceland so far and this is our 2nd trip, 3rd week. Everyone was so kind and helpful.The kitchen made us an order with 10 minutes until closing (we were late getting in) and the food was delicious. I I highly recommend this hotel because of the people.

We liked from very first moment with unforgetable Fernando receptionist, till very last moments with owners chit chatting.
