Fabulous
And this time, too, we had a great time. The property is splendid. Our room was very comfortable. But I would like to spend a few more words on the staff who, in my opinion, represent the strong point of the Baia Verde.
I hope not to forget anyone.
The reception staff is always ready to resolve any request.
The ladies who take care of cleaning the rooms are super kind and very efficient and perfect.
All the guys from the pool and sea platform assistance are very kind, always smiling and very patient in responding to my needs.
The maintenance workers are very fast in solving small technical problems.
The bar terrace is beautiful where you can spend very pleasant moments and here too the staff is impeccable.
Finally the restaurant. Here too they are impeccable both at breakfast and at dinner. All smiling, very kind, very fast. They truly make you feel at home. The maitre d's are as impeccable as always.
I read some criticisms about the breakfast and the lack of typical Sicilian products. For me it is very rich and varied with very fresh products....then if we want to have breakfast with pane e panelle, cannoli with ricotta or Sicilian cassate..well...then I confirm that they are missing.
At the restaurant you eat well with menus that change every day.
I will return there again next year.

5 stars are not enough
As a person with ten years of experience in the hospitality industry, I can state that the level of this property is well above average.
The real difference is made by the people, who are uniquely kind, always present, always attentive, discreet, and courteous.
The place is wonderful, between the sea and the pool; in summer you have everything you could wish for.
The property is showing its age, the wear and tear is significant, but this does not affect the comfort in the common areas and in the rooms.
I struggle to add a criticism.
I just hope to be able to return and stay as long as possible.

The only drawback would be the bar and restaurant. The bar is way too expensive, unreasonably so. The staff in the bar are friendly and professional, except for one or two individuals who came off as quite rude when they realised we didn’t speak Italian.
The restaurant is very good, but the experience can vary a lot. One evening was very nice and calm with quick service, but another evening felt like an extreme rush, slow serving, lack of cutlery, no wine list being presented and the food completely lacking in quality (which was amended quickly, but still the service can be lacking at times)
All in all a great experience.

Catania coast
The hotel itself has a charming colonial style, but in terms of overall standards, I would not consider it a five-star hotel, or even a four-star hotel. Breakfast is adequate, but certainly not of the standard one would expect from a hotel in this category.
The most disappointing aspect was the check-out policy. Check-in is only from 3 p.m., yet check-out is at 10 a.m. This is the first hotel I have stayed at where guests are not allowed to remain by the pool for even a few hours after checking out without paying an additional €50 per person. Given that new guests only check in from 3 p.m., it is difficult to understand the reason for such a restrictive policy.
Considering the cost of the stay, this felt particularly unwelcoming and left a very disappointing final impression.
