Great experience
Very nice house, room with lake view, Paolo is a very nice and accommodating host. Breakfast was excellent, especially the daily changing cake selection. For us it is clear: We will definitely come back!

Highly recommended, perfect host!
When you arrive at Paulo's you feel like you're in the middle of a forest-enchanting garden with a great ambience at breakfast overlooking the lake!
The rooms are very clean and the host Paulo is very helpful and also makes recommendations for things to do!

WARNING : THIEF
When we were there, while closing a shutter, it fell on the ground. We told it to Paolo so that he could deal with his insurance. But, six months later he send us his bills and charged us with more than 1000 euros without any approval of our part. This is outrageous. In addition, the room was not in the same building we saw on the reservation (view on the lake was not the same...) and we had to wait for almost an hour before someone told us where to go. Avoid it !!!

Mr Grehan,
you arrived at midnight, you recklessly broke and lifted a shutter and threw it down from the second floor, running the risk of killing a person.
Luckily you "only" damaged an electric bike owned by a third person.
This kind of responsibility is personal and follows under criminal law in italy.
There is no Insurance covering such a reckless act and the damage caused.
You admitted the damage and the matter was reported immediately also to Booking.com
Casa Forster had to suffer the consequences you left behind; compensation to third parties for your damages was settled by us. Not to mention the inconveniences caused to other guests for your misconduct.
Last but not least you bear liability by law for insults and defamations by proving such reviews.

Enjoyed a great welcome at this great base for exploring Maggiore
We stayed 5 nights at Forster's Nest, which is an apartment that Paolo, the B&B owner, also rents. It is about 300m from the B&B, where we took our breakfasts. The apartment has a little kitchenette and a newly refitted shower room. There is a balcony with nice views of the lake. Paolo provides a plentiful breakfast and on the warmer days (this was September) we ate on the patio and looked over the lake. But breakfast inside is fine, because the house has a lovely ambience. Paolo was very friendly, informative and helped us with arranging a taxi to return to the airport. Forster's Nest is just a 10 min walk from the ferry terminal. The walk to breakfast at the B&B was fine for us, but was uphill so may not suit those with any mobility issues. Cannero is a lovely base for exploring Maggiore.

Fantastico!
This B&B is a heartwarming place where the owner shares with his guests his passion for architecture and art. Everything is high quality standard and arranged with love for details The very charming atmosphere made us feel like home. Mille grazie Paolo! We'll come back!
