Nice room for a reasonable price!!!

Excellent room to relax after exploring Catania in hot water :))
We loved the quick and easy contact with the owner! Very helpful :)
The room is located on the main street leading to the old town. Very good location.
The bathtub in the room is amazing, it's so nice to relax after a walk :)
It would be useful to improve the walls in a few places because they get brittle from the heat, when you stand with your feet outside and touch the water, it kicks up the electricity a bit but once you're fully in the bathtub, it's ok.
There is a fridge and free water, cleaning on request.
The room will sum up as a good base and then a bathtub. (the bathtub attracts attention and without hesitation one wants to order it at a reasonable price)
As for Sicily, we visited alone in Katana and the entrance to Etna :) it was nice and the food in the old town was quite cheap and good :)

B&B Porta Garibaldi

We stayed at this property from 14 to 16 March 2025 .The location is the 'only strong point, for the rest leaves much to be desired.To access it you have to make two flights of stairs with a slope of about 30%, for me that I do Trail in the mountains is fine, but certain that if you are elderly or heavily overweight, the thing should be evaluated in advance.The cleanliness is decidedly mediocre, we found only two fingers of bubble bath x the shower .The room not having a roof with tiles is very hot, calculating that we are in March , I dare not imagine in July or August.The air conditioning is there but we have never used it.The wall has a stain of flow from the air conditioning , in the bathroom lack towel hangers and generally scarce ordinary maintenance.For the car you always find a place nearby in the white stripes .Then as already said by other guests the smell of sewer coming from the bathroom is very strong.

Horrible.

I've never tried pillows so hard, room so damp and smelly... The advice only for the location the rest is all negative reception horrible we did not receive the rest without us telling her anything.... Given the positive reviews we expected a quality price that there was not highly discouraged

Bad.

The b & b sebben downtown is located in a very dangerous neighborhood of Catania, in fact the first night we tried to steal the car, which was located just below it in the free parking, which according to the lady was super safe.
The second day we went all night without water, also in the bathroom it smelled like a sewer. In the b&b there were clothespins, quite useless since there was no clothesline.
The bed very comfortable except that every day we woke up with different bubbles on the body.
The air conditioner did not work as well as the mini fridge that froze the water.

Criminals!!!

Shameful!!! Booked for some time with Booking, we arrived and they told us that they couldn't find the key.....Given the inconvenience of many tourists that day due to the cancellation of all flights from Catania airport, they almost certainly found a way to rent the room at a higher price without having any scruples about leaving us in the car to sleep!!! Stay away!
