good location

nice location close to the sea, restaurants, in a calm garden.
Room 109 have air conditioning and is right by the pool.
Staff is very friendly.
You can have lunch or dinner but it’s not like a real restaurant, where you can choose between several menu items, it’s a fixed one.
i rate it as a 3 stars.

a new experience

the reviews need to be evaluated; they do not respond to the writing. The room did not convince us much... it was full of dust and hair from the cleaning staff. The dinner leaves much to be desired. The dishes were bland and poorly prepared for a 4-star establishment. The staff, on the other hand, was very courteous and attentive to the needs of the customer.

Everything was perfect.

During a stop for the beach volleyball championship, this weekend several parents accompanied our athletes to Grosseto.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Ricci Hotel.
Just a few meters from the sea (and the fields), surrounded by greenery and very quiet, we slept very well.
A good breakfast with a cappuccino machine and fresh milk, the cakes (caprese/torta della nonna) were excellent, but the croissants could be improved.
A special thank you to the professionalism and sweetness of Benedetta at the reception.
We hope that a new stage of the championship will be organized soon in Grosseto.

One night more than enough!

Just a night of passage but I would say just better this way.... To review the sign of the 4 stars. Large room but with more than dated furniture without kettle and with empty and off mini bar. Breakfast nothing short of miserable, poor quality and with bread and pastries not fresh of the day, coffee and hot drinks only from the machine (for a fee if asked at the bar).

Who assigns or controls the classification of hotels in Italy?

I report my experience in August 2025, as already communicated to the management at their request for feedback. I state that I did not know the location 'and to book I trusted the impressions I had from the hotel website and especially from the category declared "4 stars". The room without any soundproofing, all noise from adjacent rooms enter the room, furniture and bathroom obsolete. Dinner without a trolley/vegetable buffet and choice of three out of four dishes. Wine list on A4 sheet with no choice. At dinner table lamp dirty as the wooden pepper mill, cobwebs on the metal structures of the outdoor verandas. Beach Service in the penultimate and last row. The staff very friendly, the beautiful garden and proximity to the sea the positive aspects. Holiday cost 154 euros per day per capita, without the extras and without tourist tax. Based on my 40-year experience as a traveler, engative experience, expensive when compared to what I lived.
