excellent location

great welcome, great location, great cleanliness, not qualifying breakfast, practically nonexistent (one coffee each, four packets of rusks and some jam.

VERY BAD

It is to say little a star.
Reservation made on booking, received all confirmations from the structure. On the afternoon of July 17 with the whole family, consisting of 3 minors, we showed up at the structure and found that no one answered the intercom, the phone and the emails.
BAD EXPERIENCE.
The booking assistance fortunately gave us support.

A little disappointed

Good welcome from the owner, kindness and helpfulness. Apparently very scenic and beautiful room, but very uncomfortable for a family of four. In the room where the double bed was located there was an annoying noise from a fan which disturbed our rest throughout the night. The children's beds were uncomfortable camp beds, which after our request were replaced with the possibility of sleeping on a sofa. Good structure also in terms of location but disappointed with this accommodation.

Excellent location but beware rating

I wasn’t aware that the star rating in Italy does not conform to international standards. Sassi Suite is lovely. We had an enormous suite with one cave to sleep in, one as a bathroom, a large lounge area and terrace overlooking the old town. But other aspects of that international travellers would regard as 5 star were absent. No help with cases, and a very ordinary breakfast for example. Get over that and you will be happy with a very centrally located, beautiful and unique B&B experience. And look no further than La Grotta Nei Sassi your evening food. located on the terrace outside the reception for really great food. But book it!

Fantastic!

We had a suite with two bedrooms. One bedroom was on the upper level. The apartment was very clean with all the modern facilities. And with super location - just in the center. The terrace for breakfast was fantastic - just opposite sightseeing. In my opinion, it’s the BEST place to stay in Matera!
Breakfasts were very good, with delicious ham, local cheese (the best!), fresh yougurts, tasty pastries, strawberries!
The staff was very attentive. Uccio, the owner, recommended us very good restaurant, Baccus.
If I return to Matera, I would definitely choose Sassisuite again!
