Montecatini excellence

Great place to stay. Wonderful service and all the facilities: pool, gym, tennis with excellent shopping restaurants nearby and other entertainment

This is one of the worst hotels we have stayed at in years, simply because we couldn't sleep for two nights. The soundproofing is nonexistent. We could hear every movement from the room above us, along with doors constantly slamming throughout the hotel. For renovated rooms, this is completely unacceptable.
Before our arrival, we specifically requested a quiet room on one of the upper floors, and this request was confirmed by email. However, when we checked in, the night concierge told us it was not possible. It was very disappointing to receive confirmation beforehand only to be told the exact opposite upon arrival.
Another issue that makes no sense is that access to the spa is not included. For a hotel that markets itself as a Hotel & Spa, guests should not have to pay extra to use the spa facilities.
On top of that, the beds were extremely small and uncomfortable, making it even harder to get a good night's sleep.
The only positive aspect of our stay was the breakfast, which was very good.
We were in Montecatini Terme for business and needed a quiet place to rest which was informed prior for better accommodation. Unfortunately, this hotel completely failed to meet that basic expectation. I would not recommend it.

The hotel is spotless and the cleaners were polite and kept the room very clean. The food is just ok. The pool is excellent with plenty of loungers and parasols. The location is a bit out of town ( half an hours walk) and at the top of a hill. Some of the staff unfortunately were quite rude, whilst the others however were friendly and helpful .The beer bottles from the bar fridge were warm. The draught beer was flat and half of it was foam. All in all its a good clean hotel with an excellent swimming pool.

The air conditioning seems to work on request. The safety boxes are not easy to use.

We appreciate the spacious rooms with balconies. The breakfast is complete. The dinner is interesting and varied. The table service is quick, courteous, and impeccable.

A pleasant stay

Very good hotel, spacious and clean room, breakfast offering a lot of choices. To be recommended.
