Hello, I would like to thank the Hotel Dory team for a great cycling experience, everything was perfect.
Very nice week of cycling, the guides, support, food, and hotel staff were really good, a very well-organized team that listens to the clients, arrival and transfer worked very well, back next year.

Not a true family hotel
We have been coming to Riccione for several years, and this year we wanted to try Hotel Dory with my almost 3-year-old daughter.
Upon our arrival, we had been assigned a tiny apartment at D-place—a property adjacent to the hotel—where to open the kitchen refrigerator you had to move the table, with interior spaces absolutely inadequate for a child, and a huge open sofa bed that took up the entire living area, which could not be folded away. After pointing out the situation, they explained to us that that two-room apartment was indeed smaller than the others, and we were offered a more spacious one with a pull-out sofa bed. We had the half-board formula, but the kitchen was really inconvenient for cooking, with two electric burners where two pots could not fit at the same time, and only one scratched pan, which was later replaced with two others that were not non-stick (I tried to cook something a couple of times but everything stuck to the bottom, making the food inedible). The other times we preferred to order takeout.
I must premise that we had chosen this hotel mainly for the entertainment for my daughter, but that was not the case. Before booking, I had asked over the phone if it was suitable for my daughter, and I was told that it started from age 3 but since she was almost 3 and already going to daycare it could be just fine. We arrived the first evening at the entertainers' table, where there were all older children and the entertainers themselves were also very young, certainly not professionals; we decided to have our daughter sit down, who clearly felt uncomfortable; we tried to leave her but from afar I saw that she was completely ignored by everyone so I decided to have her sit at the table with us. No one tried to involve her; on the contrary, the entertainers continued to talk and eat quietly. Furthermore, different activities are proposed every day, also these not suitable for small children, trips to the adventure park, skating, a ride on the pirate boat, go-karts; the few times the entertainers were on the beach they played by the seashore, but even in this case my daughter was completely ignored and not involved at all, so much so that I went anyway to follow her and make her play a little. Furthermore, one evening a week there is the baby dance and at the end the distribution of t-shirts to the children; we had been given a t-shirt that was too small the first week, so I asked if I could have a larger one; I was answered by one of the blonde entertainers that the t-shirts were one per child and if I had wanted another one I would have had to bring back the one I already had, but having already removed the tag it was not possible to replace it. I understand the rules but I think that an extra t-shirt would not have been a problem, especially since it was a small child, who certainly does not understand these dynamics.
The restaurant was the only positive note, very good and varied food, and truly attentive waiters, in particular Emanuele and Rimi.
Certainly a good hotel but not suitable for small children; it would be more correct to specify this instead of deceiving with the name of family hotel so as to let families choose based on their needs! I suggest taking inspiration from mountain hotels that are truly organized for children!

excellent experience
We had a great time at this hotel, the staff is very kind, always with a smile and available for any information. The spa is beautiful and taken care of down to the smallest detail, the rooms are excellent and we also ate very well at breakfast, only the lunch and dinner buffet in my opinion is a bit limited for the price they ask, but it is still perfectly fine. The location is central and perfect both for the beach and for going out in the evening in the center. In my opinion it is ideal as a couple's experience, we will most likely return!

BEAUTIFUL VACATION
I spent a week with my family on an all-inclusive plan and I must really compliment everyone; they were helpful and always smiling! Rooms perfectly clean and tidy, top-notch restaurant, food always very varied and fresh with special attention and maximum availability for children. An extra feather in their cap is the pool by the sea at the affiliated beach club 93/94. We had a really great time, I hope to be able to repeat it next year.
