Truly remarkable value for money

Returning to the HR RESORT in Senigallia is always a splendid experience. I really appreciated the comfort and cleanliness of the room (which, by the way, was recently renovated in its furnishings and bathroom) thanks to the supervision of Vittoria, and the sea view from the balcony for which it is not necessary to pay a supplement since all the rooms face the sea and the velvet beach of Senigallia. The beach is right in front of the hotel and the beach club is well-maintained. Furthermore, the hotel has a nice pool for adults and a pool for children. The dining is truly excellent with the buffet service, very assorted in quantity and quality, including for the fruit and desserts; the Ferragosto lunch was even richer in delicacies with two additional buffets featuring fish, meat, and cheeses. The waiters are kind, attentive, and fast, always professionally guided by the maître d' Mario. The hotel also provides herbal teas for the evening. I enjoyed the entertainment program, especially the water aerobics, yoga, and the aperitif game. A vast entertainment program for children and evening entertainment is provided. The reception staff is always available and friendly.

Senigallia has everything

I have stayed at HR for many years . It has always been a super place to stay . Rooms a little small but every room has a sea view, the food is excellent. Senigallia is a beautiful place .However this year under the recent management things were a little different . The free bike hire advertised now requires a daily deposit so make sure you have cash and there is confusion over the keys being available so not always possible to use a bike . The child’s bike broke and they told us we would have to wait 3 days for a repair.- we were only there for a week this time. It meant a difference to the whole holiday as you need a bike to get into town otherwise it’s a bus especially with children it’s a very long walk.
On another note I asked if my daughter could have lunch in the buffet before they left . I was told they had used up their entitlement to a buffet and would have to pay .
They were within their rights but I did feel that with the bike confusion they could have made an exception after the many years our family have been their guests.

The hotel room was pretty tiny for a family of 4 (Two kids and two adults). The breakfast was good - but felt like that the staff was not very attentive to us at all (We believe this is because we are English speakers only - we tried a bit of Italian). I think the biggest surprise was the kids club that is advertised. This is not your typical resort kids club where you can leave kids for an hour in the afternoon - this is merely a hobby club where you must supervise your children whilst playing with the staff. Of course do not mind being with our kids but having an hour or so a day to be able to truly relax is something important to our vacations. Because our children did not speak Italian, they were unable to use the club. Upon checkout, a bill was presented to us for 80euros for usage of the kids club - the front desk was friendly and removed it when I explained we did not use it - but still worth reviewing before you just pay! The Lunches and Dinners were all extremely repetitive - same pastas for lunch daily - got very tiring. I know the hotel star rating is different in Italy but to an American the 4 star rating is not comparable to 4 star hotels in other parts of the world. Some how the dated feeling in the hotel is semi charming, but the price tag for what you get do not equal each other. next time I would try a more family run place on the beach.

Delightful Stay!

This was our second stay at HR Hotel in Senigallia. From the moment we arrived, the services are warm, welcoming, and professional, making our visit truly enjoyable.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, we took advantage of the free bike rentals everyday. The location makes it very easy to bike or walk around the town. We love the pool and beach and amenities of the resort.
A special mention goes to Mario, the Dining General Manager. He is exceptionally professional, genuinely lovely, and incredibly attentive to every guest's needs. His attention to detail, friendly personality, and dedication to ensuring everyone has a great dining experience really stood out. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and his passion for hospitality is evident in everything he does. On our day of departure he knew we had a long drive ahead of us he had lunches to go ready for us upon check out, such an outstanding personalized touch.
The entire team contributed to a relaxing and memorable stay, and we would happily recommend HR Hotel to anyone visiting Senigallia. We have a teenage daughter who quickly made friends at the beach and through their daily events. The whole staff is truly so warm and happy to help. We look forward to returning next summer!

Uninspiring

Really wanted to love this experience, however we were disappointed. The hotel resembles more of a retirement village than a hotel. The food was nothing to write home about. We also booked the sun loungers but because of bad weather we didn't use them. We wanted to use them the next day (day of departure) but they told us that we would have to pay an extra 15 Euro. I understand that in our package it said that we had to use the beds on the first day. However, I just think it's kind of bad business and not great hospitality to make your guests pay extra to use them the next day instead, especially because it's not like they weren't available. They just wanted to make more money from us. A lot of the staff were young and unexperienced. They didn't know how to answer any of their questions or requests. All in all, it felt very uninspiring.
