This has been my second stay at Hotel Abest Shinanjo Ekimae for business. It is one of those basic but functional three star provincial business hotels. It is very conveniently located within a 2min walk from the train station and within a stone’s throw of very good local restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly, efficient, and speaks reasonable English considering the area.

Sorry about the cost.

The location is good because it is in front of Shin-Anjo Station, but the pricing is quite high because there is not much competition. The facilities are old and the rooms are not large, but the impression is 20% higher than the national chain. The reception is on the 2nd floor, but the only way up and down the 1st to 2nd floors is by stairs. There can be no stairs with luggage.

decent one. no elevator from the first floor to the lobby. so think twice before you check in if you've got a big luggage.

You get what you pay for

Hotel is just a minute walk away from the Shin Anjo station north exit. Please be aware that there is no elevator to the second floor lobby. The lobby smelled like a smokers lounge, I had to go out again for fresh air while waiting to be attended to. Room is ok but no heater (uncomfortable during winter or spring) and no in-room safe. Wifi is free. It has an ref and an LCD tv but who watches tv nowadays.

We deeply apologize to you from our heart for the uncomfortable atmosphere we created because there is a designated smoking-section right outside of the lobby. We will clean up those areas more often and get rid of the smell as much as we can. In fact, an air conditioner in a guest room is available for all guests to use all year round. We are deeply sorry that we were not able to show you how to turn on the air conditioner properly. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention.
