Hearton won my heart ❤️

We only stayed one night to be close to Edion Arena but I was very happy with the room and it was a great budget price.
The check in staff were lovely , they handed over our mail without asking ( that they had received on our behalf ).
The room was nice and clean but will say that I thought the pillows were not soft or comfortable , but the bathroom was nice and it had plenty of hot water.
The reception staff also held our bags for the day while we attended Sumo at Edion Arena.
The hotel was very close to Nakatsu Subway station , just a couple of minutes walk at most.
They had complimentary tea and coffee and personal bathroom items.
I would definitely stay with them again.

A compact hotel that hasn't received rave reviews but has been cleaned up!

I used it on a business trip. I felt old (history) but it was cleaned up. If you can't get used to Osaka from the station, you walk to Osaka station.... The room was my favorite because of the size of the bed and the mattress. It's good to have a bass dub. Just a small desk to work at. I was surprised by the three-sided mirror (dresser?) now. A humidifier was always available, amenities and bath salts were good. The unfortunate thing is breakfast. I want them to feature or provide something delicious.
You can see the scenery though you can't expect the view.

The room was a little bit old and small, but other than that everything was nice. The breakfast was really good and worth paying extra for. Just have to wake up early for it is all as it ends at 9:30am. Staff were overall pleasant and polite and somewhat flexible. The second day I was so tired I came to the breakfast around 9:10. They still let me use my breakfast voucher so I tried to eat quickly so as to not cause them too much trouble. I did get told the food area was closed when i got up to get more water after 9:30. So best to probably stick to the schedule and finish eating and drinking by 9:30 to avoid awkwardness with the staff. They were still friendly and polite though. They just like to stick to their schedules I think, which is fair as they did clearly indicate it ends at 9:30am. Checkout was pretty easy. I just handed my card to the staff. They also had a box to put cards in I think but to be safe I handed mine directly to the staff and they were ok with that. Air conditioning worked in the room, and heating. They don’t wash the sheets unless we specifically ask for that by placing a card on the bed. They do automatically give fresh towels though which was nice. Toiletries are available to self service in the lobby. A little additional perk was they offer some bath salt and fragrance packets to have a relaxing bath which was nice on a cold day.

Ok, but very uncomfortable pillows and dated hotel.

Was my first stop throughout my Japan portion of trip .
Hotel was dated.
Pillows had beads and went flat.
I even tried their buffet. First morning, due to language barrier, I didn’t pay. Second day I did and paid for both when I tried to pay day before. Waitress thought I was ordering sake.
Lights made room gloomy. I was on a high floor so view wasn’t bad. Phone wasn’t up to date. Aging on furniture. Couldn’t wear hotel gown due to my size.
Probably wouldn’t book again, but it had more space than the next hotel in Tokyo I went to. I didn’t have to store my luggage outside and on another floor.

Front desk service was good and check in/out was processed efficiently. We shipped 2 baggages prior to our arrival and the retrieval during our check in was easy. Room was clean but just like many Japanese hotels, it was small. The washroom was a little outdated but serves the purpose. One day there was note left in my room that the housekeeper dropped my laptop during the cleaning. Fortunately my laptop wasnt damaged but I appreciated the honesty and the handling. The manager came to speak to us on the day we checked out to apologize and reassured I could reach out if the laptop stops working the next couple days. That really ahows their care for their customers.
