Super clean, great location, wonderful host, and the breakfast alone was worth it.

Beautiful home in a beautiful neighbourhood. Joanne was very welcoming, and made us feel like we were home.
The breakfasts were different than what we’re use to, but very very good.
We highly recommend.

Joanne couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful.
My room was spacious with a generous bathroom en suite - great shower with ample hot water … and a handy grab rail for those of us prone to falling over when standing on one leg!
Lovely area and very peaceful.
Lots of helpful information provided in the room, with maps and info on bus routes to get around.
I wouldn’t hesitate to return, or to recommend this b&b.

Friendly, cosmopolitan and uncomplicated guest boar

We have had a quiet room with integrated bathroom on the ground floor. It wasn't big but sufficient for a few days. The pity was that you couldn't open the window. People who like it spotlessly hygienic should not book at House On Dunbar.
Joanne is a friendly, cosmopolitan and uncomplicated hostess and a creative cook. We liked the pancake with nuts and berries, the omelette with vegetables and mushrooms and the French quiche.
Their interior style is idiosyncratic. The stone table/stool she uses as dining room furniture is placed in the garden in Europe. The B&B has a "warm" atmosphere for me. I also think it's great that you can use the garden.
Within walking distance is a park (Camosun Bog), but for everything else you have to use the car or the bus.
