Beautiful, serene, spacious and clean accommodations

Amazing rooms with private bathrooms, and beautiful balconies. Small private pool on first floor is a delight for cooling off after a hot day. The views from the top floor are so interesting. A wonderful mix of new and old in Lamu Old Town - where you can feel life happening all around you. Breakfasts with tea were amazing and plentiful. Beds extremely comfortable (with fans in rooms and mosquito netting, although mosquitoes were not an issue for us). The rooms and bathrooms are gorgeously old in style but totally modern in amenities and spotlessly clean (thank you Stephen!). Malik, our host, met us at airport on Manda Island , gave us a quick tour of our surrounds, and also arranged all of our outings and was so helpful to us (restaurants, shops, local information) while we were there. The people of Lamu were very kind and respectful to us. Be prepared for prayers during the day, part of the charm of Lamu. Baytulkher was a haven for us to return to after our day's explorations - absolutely lovely accommodations for our family of 3.
