Comfort at it's very best

We spent 5 nights here, and could so easily have spent more. It is a modern building with high ceilings throughout. Being small, gives it a very friendly personal environment, and the high quality of the staff and services completes this. We stayed in an apartment which was large, spacious and luxurious throughout. It's far bigger than what many live in, in most of our big cities. The outside terrace provided a most tranquil view of the hills, township and rolling grape vines. There is a large Spa, sauna and children's playroom downstairs, whist in the foyer there is a friendly bar with lots of local wines and palinkas to savour. The included breakfast was fantastic, with fresh fruits, cereal, yoghurt, local meats and of course the full range of warm dishes with fresh crusty bed rolls. We loved our stay here, and it no doubt was a key highlight of our 6 weeks travelling across Europe.... and by far the very best accommodation and friendliest staff.

Nice weekend

The hotel is very nice and has a perfect location. The rooms are clean and very comfortable bed. The breakfast is superb!!! The staff very helpful and kind, they do everything for you to have a good time! Good wine cellar is just a minute walk.

Comfy and nice

In the heart of Mád, sits this recently built, modern designed hotel. It has just a few rooms, but enlargement is coming. Helpful and friendly staff. Ideal mostly for couples and friends, but kids will also find a big playground in the basement. No warm meals are available (breakfast only) as guest are advised to visit local restaurants.

Visiting Tokaj for business trip with other friend. Amazing location and true hospitality in this very little town in Hungarian countryside.
Facing the “Uragya” letterally “bed of the lord” where the sun give the last shine to the day.

Traveling with friends to tour the North Eastern wine region, Tokaj and surroundings. Side trips to several castles.

Hotel Botrytis is a real gem butique hotel. The staff are friendly and all spoke English. They greeted us with a nice glass of local wine and were knowledgable about the town and the region. The rooms are spacious, very clean, with comfortable beds. The bathroom was not big but had a nice roomy shower. It was clean, and well stocked with the necessities.
Breakfasts are included and generous with a variety of breads, cheeses, cold cuts, coffee or tea. If you request they will cook you an omelet or scrambled eggs.
The grounds are neat with a small flower garden.
There are several great restaurants within 5-10 minutes from the hotel serving delicious food and excellent local wines.
The location is in a quiet area. There is a synagogue nearby with a sad history which is worth visit.
Many of the nearby wineries are open for tours and wine tasting and also sell their wines. Some of these wineries have cellars that are centuries old.
The region is full of historical places to explore. The Holloházy ceramics factory in Holloháza is also worth a visit if you have the time.
We visited in October 2017 when the weather was still pleasant but cool.
