6 friends stayed for a casino retreat and carb fest

Finding the place was really all down to Donna, as the guide we hired couldn’t find an elephant in a crisp packet. Orientation on arrival in the medina certainly needs concentration but once you get to know where to go and not to go its actually quite disarmingly charming. As is the hotel. We had the top dog suite with two large bedrooms and one large bathroom complex. Beds big enough and comfortable for group relaxations. Bath fits 4 in comfort. Very clean; plumbing not quite up to BS5750 standards but did manage to wash the wives to acceptable standards considering the work they are doing. Roof garden is classic style. Head north to get to the classier bazaas. Its a well sited hotel for sightseeing the full spectrum of Moroccan amusements. The staff really made a difference as we had some issues with rooms at first; they are great guys and that really made us feel happy. 3 ex 3 wives became content therefore I’m happy and my two butlers had little to do. Its right in the chaos and cultural centre of Marrakech. Wifi 95.4mbps. Was jolly cold in mid January. Good value for money. Nice breakfasts; wife 2 seems to have put on weight. She can carry the bags back to the airport.

Well located very peaceful accommodation

Good location close to Jemaa el fna. Amazingly peaceful and quiet given the central location. Room was disappointing. Dark and cold. There was an aircon unit with a heat setting but it couldn’t cope with the height of the space. Shower was very poor. Bed was comfy. On a positive note there was a wonderful friendly welcome and service. I got a “deal” through Booking.com but even at this reduced rate it was disappointing value.

Oasis of peace in the bustle of Marrakech

We had a nice week, in a beautiful Riad, right in the medina. Very special, friendly staff. Abdu, who was there in the evening and night and during the day Fati, Senna and Asleen (??) were present.very friendly. A clean room every day.
Sometimes there was some confusion because of the language. nice room, good bed, delicious breakfast.
Securing some sockets is a bit dangerous
We had a lovely week at Riad Palace Chadmi.

Austere and shambolic

Resembling a monastic cell in its austerity, no concession to comfort was made in our room with not so much as a complimentary bottle of water provided for guests. Bare and chilly, the room featured an uncomfortable mattress with a thin bed covering and one flat pillow each.
What was more bizarr, however, was the apparent lack of staff. We were greeted by one individual who told us that he was leaving that evening and then demanded a tip. The remaining of the time, there was either no-one to be found in the place, or someone sitting around who behaved with surprise and bewilderment when greeted by a guest. We asked 3 times if a taxi could be arranged to take us to the airport but this appeared to be a baffling and unheard of request and no arrangements seemed to be made. The included breakfast similarly failed to materialise before we had to leave for the airport.
We stayed one night which was more than enough.

Hidden gem in the medina

The reception by Aziz, at an agreed location, on the square with a porter, his service, it was, in one word, great! Beautiful riad, attractively clean large Berber room large bathroom. A delicious fresh breakfast. We felt like princesses. Nothing was too much for the staff, the roof terrace is a plus. The location great. A few minutes' walk from Djemaa El Fna Square. Really located in the heart of the medina, which was nice because in the evening you walked back to your riad through lively streets instead of the remote quiet streets. Inside it is an oasis of peace. Communication in fluent Engeks went smoothly. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you Aziz for your good care. We hope to return to Palais Chadmi next time. Linda and Fabienne.
