I was honored to be the first guest after the reopening post-pandemic. I especially enjoyed the meals on the terrace overlooking the Ourika Valley. The Kasbah is located in a rather vertical village known for its ceramic work. The room was spacious, clean and the bathroom was well decorated and spacious. Kamal, his wife and Souffiane made my stay enjoyable and relaxing.

Best Experience in my 10 days Morocco trip

Kasbah Omar is magical. It was recommended by my travel agent in Toronto. A great hidden place in the middle of an old Jewish Berber village. built in a traditional ancient style of a Moroccan riad but ver rustic and earthy, with amazing view from the roof top restaurant where we spent the entire evening of the 3 days we spent there. The food is very tasty. Learning how to make the Moroccan soup and couscous was very special with our host Abou Omar. Very accommodating as he took us on a hike including a lunch with a Berber family and exploring the hidden path for our second day there. This is the only place where we really felt that we are home away from home while traveling the country. Very good people and highly recommended.

Disappointing

Though Kamal, the manager, and his wife, Fatima, are lovely people, the accommodations leave a lot to be desired. IF they weren't so pleasant, this review would have been one star. The most egregious issue was cleanliness. We had a cooking class with Fatima which was fun. When I went to help her set the table she handed me utensils for our group of four. I had to give her back three of the eight utensils because they had food still on them. What did she do? wipe them with a dry paper napkin and return them to me! Three other things are also illustrative: the bottom sheet on the king-sized bed was a double or twin bed flat sheet turned perpendicular to the top of the bed leaving both your head and feet on the mattress; there was no wifi as we understood there would be; the day we left, there was no hot water.

Authentic Berber atmosphere and ambiance.

Incredible place in the middle of an ancient Berber village. Gives you the authentic feel and greets with true hospitality. Tasty mint tea. It is an experience to itself. Good place to take photos of Ourika valley.

Visit

Wonderful place, highly recommend! Kamal is a wonderful cook and guide! Have him take you on a lovely hike through the valley with lunch at a local village for some tea and a hot tajine! The valley is just a short drive away where you can enjoy the river and food. Take a cooking class and learn how to make the traditional Moroccan meals!
