Especially nice and tasteful accommodation with gigantic great breakfast!

Very friendly welcome, beautiful room in which very lovingly every detail is carefully decorated complemented by garden furniture on the terrace in front of the room with pads and carpets.
The bathroom is well decorated and pleasantly warm, there are 2 floor runners and new fluffy towels. Bathrobe (different colors for her and him) are just as much a part of it as a beautiful indoor pool and saunas that are heated to the desired date.
Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired starting with a fresh fruit salad with lots of fruits, over delicious bread and rolls to cereal, fish, antipasti and much more!
By the way, coffee comes with warm frothed milk!
We will definitely come back!

High end, small Bavarian style hotel -Perfect!

Landhaus am Stein is the perfect, high end, Bavarian relaxation hotel. It is a well run small hotel with a classy spa. The decor, comfort and maintenance are impeccable. The staff is totally professional, knowledgable of the area and super sweet. You really get the feeling you are being taken care of. The breakfasts are wonderful and include local products, and home made treats. The location is in a quiet area, yet close walking distance to the lake. You wake up with roosters crowing and have your afternoon cocktail with cowbells sounding in the distance. There are 2 ferry boat stops a short walk away. The staff knows all the fabulous restaurants in the area and the food is some of the best we have had anywhere. We have gone back to this hotel 4 times and are going back next year we love it so much.
The towns around the lake are very upscale yet small and walkable.
You can walk or bike everywhere or take the ferry boats to each town around the lake.
There are extensive established hiking and biking trails on the beautiful mountains and on the lake. The water is crystal clear on Lake Tagernsee.

Excellent! What a Treat!

We booked this b&b expecting something more on the simple and quaint side, and while it was certainly quaint, it exceeded our expectations. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is fabulous. And in the German tradition, it is included. They serve breakfast until you wake up, and when I rushed off to have a massage, no one looked at me strange when I returned for another coffee. The rooms are spacious and I was surprised at the lovely pool and massage/spa facilities. I had a massage with Herr Schaeffer and it was excellent. i also had a facial, which was also very nice. We stayed only 2 nights and did not want to leave. I recommend at least 3 nights, if not more. There is plenty to do here in terms of hiking and relaxing. I highly recommend it for families, as we stayed with our two children.
