Spacious, clean and tidy

Very nice hotel. Very clean and large bedroom and bathroom. Could see no evidence of required maintenance that other reviews noted. Staff were polite and helpful once we’d got through the language barrier which is no criticism - we are after all in their country. Great location to explore Bamberg sold town which is gorgeous. We had a very good stay

Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect from the check-in, to the lobby, to the room, and in particular the entire atmosphere in this hotel was very, very nice.

All in all, the price-performance ratio does not match.

The location is great, highly recommended.
The staff is very friendly.
The rooms are very cramped for the price, and the bathrooms are too small.
Very noisy.
No blinds on the windows; it is bright as day in the room from 5:00 AM.
The TV does not work properly; there is no signal on 90% of the channels.

The blonde receptionist at the front desk assumed we didn’t understand English. We had three rooms booked, and I was simply holding the hand of a toddler under two years old while standing at the reception desk. She immediately started talking about extra guest charges and even suggested that a child under two years old should be charged.
Are you seriously that desperate for money? The child wasn’t even staying in my room. The fact that your first reaction was to look for ways to charge more is absolutely ridiculous.
The hotel itself feels like a haunted house. Everything is old, outdated, and poorly maintained. The facilities are worn out, and the entire place desperately needs renovation.
Between the terrible attitude at the front desk and the condition of the hotel, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend staying here.
