To avoid!

A disastrous experience from start to finish!
I arrived later than planned but couldn't notify anyone because there was no telephone number listed on the booking site or online.
The entrance doesn't match the address!!! And at the address given, there are no signs!!! I had to figure out that the entrance was inside a block of flats, accessed via a dark and gloomy passageway in an adjacent street! At night, there are no signs for the hostel visible in the passageway.
When you finally find the front door, there is no reception. Just key boxes with codes. Nowhere is it indicated where I was supposed to receive the code. It turns out that the owner sends it to the booking site's messaging service (which ended up in my spam folder). She does not send it by email or text message. There is still no emergency number displayed at the entrance.
After trying for two hours to access my room in the freezing cold, at 1 a.m. I had to find a new hostel to stay in.
The owner refused to compensate me, offer any kind of commercial gesture or reduce the price for the following night (I had booked for two nights). She was very unpleasant to deal with.

pleasant stay, hard to find

We had a pleasant stay at the Living in the Box. It was as described and you get what you pay for. Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The bathrooms were fine, but the drains were blocked in the showers and the toilets weren’t the best cleaned! Check in and out was easy. The location was good - about 30 mins - an hour to all tourist spots. There is a good restaurant around the corner on the riverside called Verona only about 10 mins away!
My only issue with this is finding it in the first place! It is not clear on google maps and is down an alley that is hard to find if arriving in the dark! Could do with clearer entrance. But apart from this, good hostel.
