Never again!

Never again, I would not recommend to even my enemies! It is a hotel but there is no reception in tha afternoon. If you arrive after 12 hour of travelling, you can not even call somebody just chat on whatsapp. If your phone is discharfed and you are alone, you can sleep on the streets, they don't care. When checking out even in the Morning there was no breakfast, nonreception however it should be. Finally they licked up and said they don't care and in the middle of my sentence tgey hang up.

Clearly not what it might once have been

Hotel does not have a reception; the key can be retrieved from a safe with a code sent to it. Only in the morning there is a short time staff present. Room was fine, and suggests that this was once a real hotel, but the overall Mood is bleak and deserted. Photos on the website seem to deliberately try to disguise the current situation. Breakfast is ridiculously expensive, given what is offered for that. Overall not a pleasant experience.

In the spirit of the Middle Ages in the middle of the Old Town

A beautifully preserved half-timbered house from the 15th century. ==References== Very quaint and romantic, but also with the limitations of this time. The headroom under the ceiling beams is about 180 cm - between the beams about 200 cm. The staircase to the first floor requires alpine surefootedness, especially with suitcase.
The bathroom is from the 70s. I would particularly like to highlight the breakfast room with its wonderfully painted medieval ceiling!
Very fair value for money.

In the historic centre of the town, but in a quiet small street: this hotel is perfectly situated to walk short distances to a lot of monuments, museums, the shopping street or the strange shopping centre behind the reconstructed front of the duke's castle. The outside looks very historical and the stairs inside are as well historical but the rooms show all contemporary standards.
