A quiet retreat in Bremen!

Those who seek tranquility and are not afraid to drive, take the train, or use public transport to get into the city will find this place just right! The name says it all. A hotel of peace and relaxation, in the nature-friendly district of Horn-Lehe. Absolutely recommendable. The rooms, the dining areas, the lobby, the staff - everything is just right!

Rather poorly than well.

We actually only liked the entrance area and the restaurant. Breakfast was delicious and very extensive.
What was really not good for us was the room. I expect something different for the price I pay for a Comfort Plus room. It must be clean and tidy. Let's start from the beginning:
-Cobwebs in the front on both sides of the door frames
-Mirror in the bathroom not completely cleaned. Visible while showering
-Second ceiling light in the bathroom hangs out on one side
-Toilet paper holder is placed in a very unfortunate position. One has to twist quite a bit. Especially if one is a bit heavier
-Toilet seat so cheap that I thought it would break immediately
-Ceiling and walls are dirty. Not just dusty at the window but dirty (black streaks)
-No fly screen on the window. Especially inconvenient in summer (we have seen this in other hotels). There were fly screens there, and one could ventilate without worries)
-Phone by the bed is so disgustingly grimy. Truly disgusting. As if no one had cleaned it in years
-Bed is way too soft. In this price range, I expect the mattresses to either be firmer or for there to be firmer mattresses available for exchange.
-The curtain can only be laid over with difficulty; otherwise, light comes through. Just like on the sides.
-The sheer curtain has burn marks from cigarettes.
-The shower splash guard is completely calcified at the bottom and there is some mold in the seal.
-Charging €3.90 for a 0.2-liter cola and €4.50 for a 0.3-liter beer is simply outrageous. This has nothing to do with the economic situation. If you calculate that for beer, it amounts to €15 PER liter. Those are Oktoberfest prices. This has nothing to do with a higher class but simply with greed.
However, one cannot complain about the food in terms of price and taste.
For me, the room was a moderate disappointment, and we will avoid Atlantic in the future if that is the standard.
I paid nearly €700 for 5 nights for this. I could have gotten that for €400 as well. Cleanliness and tidiness are one thing; I can overlook that. But if I don't even have the option to exchange the mattress upon request, then that is a reason for me not to return. Especially when people with a bit more weight, like me, are simply neglected here.

A very nice hotel.

Really a very nice hotel in a green and quiet area. Fully equipped free parking facilities and even a private covered parking garage, for a fee. Long beds with fine mattresses. Window that opens, with a screen. Blackout curtains that close tightly. No air conditioning, but a standing fan in the room. Spacious walk-in shower with "traditional" shower head. Nice breakfast with wide choice. Fine eaten in the hotel's Restaurant, "Chalet". Staff correct and friendly. Good public transport to the city. Bus stop diagonally opposite the hotel and Tram (line 4) at about 500 meters. Day ticket €13.00 (2 pers.) for sale at the Ticket Machine at the front of the tram. Hotel also has a garden where you can sit.

Avoid the "restaurant" !

Hotel is quiet and clean. Very good breakfast.
Warning, my lunch in the emergency business hall, was a Desaster !
It appears the kitchen is equipped with a microwave
and a can opener only!
Last year in the same Hotel they had a cosy Restaurant with a professional chef!
and tasteful food 1
Apparently business seminars are more profitable !

Unreasonable cancellation, not available

I had a booking at this hotel that was initially confirmed. A few days before the planned arrival, however, it was suddenly cancelled. I was told to report directly to the hotel. Unfortunately, neither I nor my tour operator could reach the hotel, it was simply not contactable.
This behavior seems extremely dubious and is absolutely frustrating for travelers. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the hotel.
