Wildenburger Hof
Featuring 3 large terraces and a beer garden, the Wildenburger Hof hotel offers modern rooms in the peaceful Wildenburg countryside. The hotel also provides a daily breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Wildenburger Hof’s bright conservatory restaurant serves regional specialities and varied international cuisine. In summer months, meals can also be enjoyed in the hotel’s scenic grounds. The rooms in this historic building are individually decorated and feature flat-screen satellite TV and a DVD player. All rooms offer views of the surrounding countryside or Wildenburg mountains. The 18th-century Schloss Crottorf Castle is only 200 metres from the hotel. The surrounding forests and mountains offer guests a wide selection of cycling, walking and horse riding trails. Wildenburger Hof is a 2-minute drive from the village of Friesenhagen and a 20-minute drive from the A45 motorway. Free private parking is available on-site. Please note that the Wildenburger Hofs restaurant is only open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and on public holidays. Nice but remote
The area is beautiful - especially in the the autumn sun - and great for walking. There is ample information on the area and walks available (books and brochures) at the hotel, but it is in German.
Breakfast is generous and tasty. There is no buffet, but you book a time. Food in the restaurant is exceptional. Not cheap, but well worth it. Book your table as the restaurant is not very big and gets busy at weekends.
We enjoyed our stay at Wildenburger Hof, however we thought that it was overpriced.
