Stay at hotel

I went to this hotel during a Shearings holiday, it is in a quiet location. The room was quite small, but had a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a shower but was not very powerful. The breakfast was buffet style with some hot food. Dinner was waiter served. The stairs to the room were steep and narrow, so less able bodied people should use the lift. Recommended.

Horrible.

Extremely small and unfresh rooms; large holes in the walls, radiators INSIDE the shower very narrow beds.
The breakfast was beneath contempt, there was type 1 spread, 2 kinds of bread and eggs.
The rooms are very clean.
Stayed one night here and one night at another hotel for the same price and it was a joke that you even charge for this.

Was ok

Just got back from a lovely trip with Shearings.
Although the staff were very welcoming the hotel was not as good, my sister and I had separate single rooms, very small and extremely hot and stuffy as windows only opened a few inches. No air conditioning or fan, the rooms were very dark and dated but on the plus side very clean. The first night requested a vegetarian meal which consisted of peppers and onions, was a no no, 2nd night was an omelette that resembled scramble eggs, breakfast was basic, cereal, what looked like toast, jams, thinly sliced meat, beans and sausages. Requested for a fan 3 times and finally got one on the last night very late. Would I stay at this hotel again, not by choice but would if Shearings stayed on a different tour as it was faultless.

Holiday

just arrived back from the hotel De Halve Maan under new management rooms clean bathroom basic but ok food hot and good water in bathroom very hot enjoyed our stay quiet location not much in village but it was lovely

very budget

This is what you call a budget hotel its clean but the food is very limited small portions and i am not a big eater my sister and i had to go shopping to find a mug each so we could have a decent cup of tea the cups were like thimbles, watch when you have your wine they try and give you the better wine at 2 vouchers each glass but you can get half a cariff for 4 vouchers and the wine is ok.the rooms are very sparce and there was no aircon so it was roasting because we went in july when we had very hot weather, its a family run hotel and most of them were very friendly, would we stay here again NO!!!!
