Dank je wel voor je enthousiaste beoordeling.
Wat heerlijk om te lezen dat je samen met je moeder zo hebt genoten van jullie tijd in Haarlem.
Van de ruime kamer en het comfortabele bed tot het ontbijt en de borrelplank bij de Explore Greater Haarlem aanbieding, jullie hebben duidelijk volop van het verblijf kunnen genieten. Extra leuk dat ook de gastvrijheid van ons team zo is opgevallen. Jouw aanbeveling is voor ons een prachtig compliment.
Met onze ligging vlak bij het centrum, maar ook dicht bij natuur en strand, valt er bij een volgend bezoek nog genoeg samen te ontdekken.
We verwelkomen je graag opnieuw in de toekomst.

An Aged Property, stuck in a time warp.

Where to start. The positives - Front Office Associates are superb and friendly.
And then you get to breakfast - disaster - pre-chopped melon and a few grapes. Packaged cold cuts. Total disorganization. They ran out of Mushrooms, and when asked for a mushroom omelette, the short order cook just shrugged and said, he could make it with Tomatoes instead. Unhappy and miserable waitstaff.
The rooms - 1990’s Crowne Plaza style. Peeling wallpaper, dismal, chipped furnishings.
The so called ‘balcony’ is barely 12 inches wide.
The patio, chairs and tables are covered in bird droppings, and cockroaches seem very happy.
Nothing to recommend - health department should close it down.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We take feedback like this seriously, so we'd like to respond properly to your points.
We're glad our front office team made a good impression, they'll be pleased to hear it.
On breakfast: all our food is fresh and cut fresh daily, so we're sorry it didn't come across that way to you. That said, you're absolutely right that if a mushroom omelette is on offer, it should be available, and being met with a shrug is not the service we expect from our team. We'll be addressing both points with the kitchen and breakfast staff.
On the rooms: style is of course partly a matter of taste, but peeling wallpaper and chipped furnishings are not something we brush aside. We're taking those observations on board as we look at the rooms.
We were surprised by some of the stronger claims. In all our time we've never had a report of cockroaches, and we maintain strict hygiene and pest-control standards, so this isn't something we recognise. We'd genuinely like to understand what you saw, and we feel a call to have the property shut down is far removed from the hotel our guests know.

Attractive hotel. Both reception and our room were clean and well appointed. Initially had issues with the room key but was assigned a different room. Parking is expensive on site but the room price was very reasonable.

Second stay and again excellent. Excellent room, good breakfast, you walk straight into the city and easily accessible by both public transport and car. And most importantly, the people who work there are all cheerful and kind.

Wat fijn dat ook je tweede verblijf zo goed is bevallen.
Een comfortabele kamer, een goed ontbijt en de stad binnen handbereik maken een bezoek aan Haarlem natuurlijk extra ontspannen. Maar je compliment over ons team springt er voor ons echt uit. Dat onze collega’s met hun vrolijkheid en gastvrijheid opnieuw zo’n goede indruk hebben gemaakt, geven we met veel plezier aan hen door.

Frankly, we expected something better.

Unfortunately the room was too hot because the air conditioning did not work. Bathroom is old-fashioned with a bathtub instead of a walk-in shower and no mixer. For older people not entirely suitable. By contrast, the customer friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was excellent.

Allereerst doet het ons goed om te lezen dat de klantvriendelijkheid en behulpzaamheid van ons team zo’n sterke indruk hebben achtergelaten.
Het spijt ons dat het comfort van de kamer niet aan je verwachtingen voldeed. Een goed werkende airconditioning is een belangrijk onderdeel van een aangenaam verblijf en onze excuses dat dit niet het geval was. Ook begrijpen we je opmerkingen over de badkamer en de toegankelijkheid van het ligbad. Voor gasten die minder goed ter been zijn, beschikken er ook kamers een inloop douche.als u dit van te voren vraagt dan kunnen we altijd kijken of we dit voor u kunnen regelen.
We waarderen het des te meer dat je ondanks deze aandachtspunten onze collega’s zo’n mooi compliment geeft.
We hopen dat we je in de toekomst nog eens mogen verwelkomen voor een verblijf bij ons.
